I've seen the sequel and the original is sexier. They re-connect after many years and the attraction is still there but at the end, you hope there will be another one.

For American TV, the way HBO does it is that if a scene specifies an erect penis they use a prosthetic.

I imagine most TV shows in different countries apply a similar rule. Not to mention that few actors seem willing to be erect on film.

Just seems odd that the original comment from the poster implied it was a pointless scene as they weren't really fucking which is the same for the vast majority of sex scenes in film or tv.

Yeah, I've heard its a bit of a letdown in the sexy department. But it looks like they're game for doing another if this one is popular enough or they're able to get it funded. The actual movie from 2005 wasn't great but more of the originals from the short would be nice.
