George Rexstrew (actor) Dead Boy Detectives

Last week he posted a very suspicious clip from DBD and I'm sure that was just before he learnt about cancellation. It sucks of course but they'll 100% pop up in a future episode of Sandman

Here's hoping. Just the boys. We don't need the rest for a Sandman appearance.

I mean they most likely cancelled it because of the low view numbers, no?
That‘s the only logical explanation. Also, Netflix doesn't give second chances... I‘ve seen other shows on other networks where the first season wasn't popular and it picked with the second or third, anyway.

netflix expects everything to be a massive hit similar to stranger things. If a show doesn’t meet the expectations, they cancel it no second thoughts. Dbd was popular enough but they didn’t gave it a chance to get better

Yes, it's extremely frustrating. Especially since they are terrible at advertising shows. For DBD I only even heard about it because there were Sandman fanboy accounts posting George/Jayden edits from the trailer. I had to go and look it up and add it to my list just to get notified when it finally premiered. And I was a super fan of Sandman and watched it through several times!

I would not mind Netflix being so cancel happy if they at least made it make sense. As mentioned, their expectations are ridiculous and considering the budgets, I cannot imagine it's a sensible way to do business

Netflix's strategy is so dumb. They can release 10 shows and movies on the same week and expect all of them to be hits? They hsould, or must, cut the number of projects they produce and stop making people create fandoms only for then to get sad after the cancellation of their favorite new show. And I'm not even talking about the people directly involved in those projects. Imagine how sad they are now. My poor George...

When Netflix stops making the big bucks after next year's final season of Stranger Things, I bet they'll wish they'd kept some of these other shows going, atleast a while longer. I really enjoyed DBD. It was quite different. But very good.

Hopefully that means a guest appearance.
There is no other reason since most likely this is from a season 2 wrap party or smth like that

A guest appearance would be like bread crumbs... I want a season 2 of DBD
As of now that seems unlikely so we should be happy to get him back so soon and not wait for Sandman's 3rd season
