It is. Just go to a Korean spa in America and you'll be expected to have no issues with nudity. Throughout the European countries I've visited American-style modesty is non-existent. I've been to spas in Germany where it's actually co-ed nudity. Try to wear a towel and you'll be instantly ostracized if not told by the staff to ditch the towel or leave.

I don't think European schools require students to shower either these days, and I'm not sure how common it is after gym classes there.
My Canadian friend told me only the athletes at his school showered, not after gym class.
No as nudity is a big part of the culture and it's no big deal.

We can add Sweden to the list too. But the fact is you can expect nudity in most European Spas.

Hell I would have showered after gym class (I was on the swim team, I was used to showering with others) but at my school we had 5min between periods to get to your next class and the locker room was in the basement. I didn't have time to shower because I barely had time to get my clothes on.

In the Netherlands, at least in my gym, young guys shower naked, go to the sauna naked and have no problems being seen naked. Must say this is mostly the white fit guys and most of them are also hung ;-)
