My rule of thumb would be. If the actors are not the main characters, there's a huge chance the penis is real (the shower scene in Euphoria). But if the actors are part of the main cast, the possibility of prosthetic and/or body body double are higher than real penis, like Watchmen (ofc there are some expectations, like Paul Mescal in Hulu's Normal People)

That episode was directed by Lena Dunham, who was famous for insisting on lots of nudity in her HBO show "Girls." I can see her wanting full frontal male nudity in this episode and being fine with prosthetics as long as she got the "shock value" of it. For Americans at least, putting a penis on screen is still somewhat edgy.

The dick doesn't look like it naturally fits his body (even the skin tone seems off) and his bush is trimmed so it's condensed around the top of his cock which makes me think it's fake hair they arranged to cover the spot where they attached the prosthetic. I'd much rather it be his real dick because I think he's cute but for some reason when I saw those caps I instantly thought "fake."

Cause it's HBO. Duh Most female nudity also not essential to the storylines anyway. Nudity was there to keep the viewers, especially if the show is full of talking (remember early Game of Thrones seasons, lack of action, full of heavy dialogue and full of unnecessary nudity?)
