Thanks for posting these pics of Derek Sanderson. I remember seeing them years ago! I read that the man in the third photo with the jacket was his father.

I'm pretty sure I'd be creeped out by the guy just sitting on top of the truck watching everyone, and smoking a cigarette.

I suspect back then in the military they did not think a thing of it.

And the guy on the truck may have finished his cigarette taken off his clothes and joined them.

The guy on top of the truck is most likely the soldier who runs the shower facility. I doubt any of these soldiers were creeped out. They were most likely glad he kept the showers running.
