In places where this kind of criticism can get any kind of traction, like on Twitter, it is often not considered appropriate to comment on a lack of gay/bi males when lesbians or bi women are well-represented. Representation of gay/bi men is not a priority for the queer women that really control the trendlines of queer media activism in those spaces. Especially since the shows' showrunner is a queer woman, questioning her queer bonafides by discussing the show's bad (non-existant) rep of queer men is asking for trouble.

It is a shame if there is a deliberate excluse of a 'gay' male character on the show. I fought they might include one, as I mentioned before n the earlier seasons, maybe one player from the high school football team.
