There are still plenty of good ASMRtists out there who are genuinely in it for the hobby of it... but yeah. It's also become popular enough now that it's attracted a bunch of attention whores who just use it as a gateway to start the inevitable onlyfans. They barely even make an effort pretending anymore; just jump straight into the porn. It's an easy ramp to get attention.
