A comment on IG from a supposed “friend” who said they were unsure but would try to confirm was deleted. A message from the “friend” confirmed they did not delete the post and whomever has control of the account had blocked them.

Then it probably is just some hacker, doubtful a family member would block a concerned friend.

Several months back he posted an Instagram pic that suggested he was about to take his own life. He deleted it the next day and apologized for it and kind of brushed it off, but it was alarming. I hope this is just another false alarm. He seems like a sweet guy, albeit a pretty troubled one.

Something is definitely off about this. I no longer believe his account has been hacked. Hopefully he can work through this.

I don't know James that well, but we have a mutual friend who confirmed he's alive and struggling with some personal issues. I didn't really press for specifics on if the posts have been him or a hacker.

Well, at least people who know him personally have been alerted and should be able to get to him when he needs help.

My take is that quite possibly he got intoxicated and engaged in some kind of immature, attention seeking behavior. Do we even know who his BF is/was?

I struggle to use the term “attention seeking” in this context. Yes we know who the BF is.

The whole thing is pretty twisted. Even if he was hacked, it sounds like his life is kind of a mess. I hope he can pull things together.

I can only say what myself and many seem to have concluded however it’s not my story to tell.

As of right now James is saying his account was hacked, he assumed it was his now ex-BF who did it, but has since backtracked on that theory.

Sharing this because James has now opened the door with the above statement.

Based on who I talked to about yesterday I believe that after breaking up with his BF, he had a relapse. The social media posts weren’t part of a hacking and James had access to them the entire time. It explains why certain comments from people close to him were removed and accounts blocked. It also explains why follow up posts were weirdly specific (complaining about Meta targeting OF creators/airing dirty laundry about his now ex-BF cheating).

Anyways I’m glad he’s made the decision to step away for a while and hope he gets the help he needs.
