Like, even though I usually tend to write long posts, I actively avoid writing much about Daigo, because I feel like I will end just shit-talking a lot someone I don't even know, what I try to avoid.
That being said, since we are getting so into this topic, let me share my sincere opinion.
The thing about Daigo is... I don't think he is the sharpest tool in the shed, you know? Like, there is definitely some unresolved issues, internalized homophobia and such as some pointed, but I don't think that's the main issue.
Like, if Hiroya or Jin came to talk about working as a gay porn actor in Japan I would definitely be here to listen. Neither is really my type as models, but both clearly are/were thinking about their work, had a project, etc. They probably have nice insights on the industry I would like to hear.
Daigo on the other hand, I don't think he actually has the... tools... to analyze his situation. Like what working as a gay porn actor means, where the money he gets comes from, what would please or displease people paying him, how he should behave, etc. The OF collab promotion issue shows it in so many different levels it hurts.
Like, I just hope he does ok living day by day without doing anything too problematic. Because expecting much more from him sounds... Unrealistic.
