Yeah no matter how you split it, Jensen's stunt on Prime Video's The Boys will always overshadow playing a ranger on the CW and a doctor on CBS.
They've approached things differently, though. I think Jared wants to be **the** lead, he's pretty much built his post-SPN career with that in mind. That is not a bad thing per say, that ensures him that all the attention is on him. In my opinion, at his age and stage in his life, that is very smart. He's also trying to remain in Texas for his family, and that has impacted his choices. Jensen, on the other hand, I feel like has gravitated towards the projects themselves although they weren't built around or for him, but it's just roles he's been wanting to play. High risks but higher rewards too : see The Boys, the hype he's gotten for playing Soldier Boy, as well as nominations for it, etc.
