They would be so cute together like their chemistry from interviews and in the show in general
Their business model is really chaotic. They'll bankroll a season of just about anything. Apparently The Sandman is doing well but I couldn't get into it at all and they spent a LOT on it.
Oddly enough Dead Boy Detectives does hit for me. It's flawed but made with so much love.
Wednesday blew up for them and currently filming a second season. The only upside to Dead Boy Detectives not getting a second season (if that happens) is maybe the lads appear in an episode of The Sandman.
Sandman season 2 is already fully written, and filming might even be complete. A season 3 is unlikely, based on how iffy a season 2 was.
Based on the numbers so far, and the (partly homophobic) reception I’m seeing on Reddit, I fear we’ve seen the last of our Dead Boys. But hopefully the show makes just enough of an impact that Jayden catches the eye of lots of casting directors for other projects.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't. He's a very capable actor from what he was given to do here.
It's so silly. I keep seeing things like if we want representation we should make our own shows. Then we do and the same crowd tells us we're the ones being exclusionary. It's Neil Gaiman for fuck's sake. Rigid gender norms don't exist in his universes.
I really do want more Dead Boys. Aside from everyone being so gender fucked and hot every single actor except the younger Cuoco is VERY talented. Niko makes me fucking howl. What a great find.

Netflix need to commit as well to the diversity of these shows because too often they're too reactionary in axing them.

Sadly Netflix is still chasing that high of “Stranger Things / Orange is the new black”. If a show is not pulling in numbers in one week, they cancel it while doing the bare minimum to promote them. There are so many really good shows Netflix produces that gets cancelled after one season. Im still salty about “Half Bad” another Queer fantasy series.
They also cancelled Jupiter's Legacy whih IIRC had no problems with view numbers but it cost a lot + they promoted it very hard. Honestly I was surprised they renewed The Sandman but maybe they won't do it one more time. I hope I'm wrong and the show'lll get a season 3, and if they'll cancel DBD I hope Gaiman will use Sandman to bring Boys and co. back even for 1 episode
It's really gotten to the point where some people are reluctant to watch a showing Netflix due to their cancel happy routine.
