Jensen always talked about wanting to do a Western movie, but with him being on Supernatural, it wasn't possible, he once said that when he was a kid, he wanted to be a cowboy, he would throw on his sheriff vest just to eat his breakfast lol his parents allowed him to ride a horse on his 4th birthday, when he filmed that Western episode on SPN, he sent a pic of himself in his cowboy getup to his dad and he told him “You've been rehearsing this scene since you were six!” In conclusion, he is making a dream come true, just like he wanted to play a superhero and he got Soldier Boy, I'm happy for him, that he's being able to do things that he enjoys.

Neither I, but to be fair, I wasn't even expecting him to take a new project so soon, he finished The Boys last month, but well, he already said he is a workaholic, and he loves what he does, so I'm not surprised and yes, talk about right timing.
