I'm happy that jogging worked for you, but it doesn't change the fact that there are much better alternatives that do not take such a heavy toll on your body.
Have to jump in here, I used to be a pretty keen runner, but it took a toll for sure. I'm a fairly tall man, 6 ft 2, was always pretty skinng, but still all that pounding on the joints can never have been helpful. I'm now stuck with a very very worn hip, almost immobile and putting on the weight.
So do things in moderation would be my advice to anyone, try to stay low impact, the sort term might not be as great but longer term you'll be grateful.
Me, I'm too young to have a hip replacement, so I'm told.. so I've got to find some other way of getting back in shape
