Johnny Orlando

He actually didn’t “literally” say that and the quip seemed pretty clearly meant to be tongue in cheek. More like when a straight guy jokes he’d give Chris Hemsworth a handjob than something like Joshua Bassett’s comment, which were actually a “coming out”. But no one has a sense of humor anymore about celebrities, and they certainly can’t pick up on irony in general, so every word has to be hyper analyzed. Like when Charlie Puth made a similar comment about Harry, or Billie Eilish got backlash for saying “I love girls”. Johnny has literally said he’s straight. And yes, before a dozen people reply, I know young guys can lie about that but just as often, people want to slot someone into a box that fits their fantasies and/or stereotypes.
Frankly, I really don't see the problem, here. What does it matter that he's straight or gay? We're not in 1950.

Spot on. I've been saying it for a while. The clothes. The makeup. The voice and tone and mannerisms. Come on. If it smells like a duck and quacks like a duck....its a duck. And speaking of smell...I'd bet he wears his mama's perfume.
This is toxic stereotyping though.. straight men can wear female clothes & makeup.. many straight people who are celebs do. Clothes dont determine your sexuality nor does makeup.

Debatable

Says who lol.
Recent society.. all the straight people who do drag or cross dress, Trans people who prove these stereotypes are stupid and should be abolished.

I know a few straight men who like to cross dress from tine to time. But these toxic stereotypes are what causes harmful issues and tbh come from the old Homophobia that gays had to deal with.

Celebs aren't the standard bearer. They're a bunch of drug addicted nutters.

Come on now. This sense of detachment from reality is bazaar.
I don't condone this hyperbolic framing but I do agree that celebs are not a good measure of the standard for everyday people. (Same goes for guys in uber liberal areas overall tbh). That's just biased sampling

yeah, i don't see guys walking around dressed in more feminine ways, like the way johnny dresses, or wearing make up. it's just not really something you'll see a lot of guys, especially in southern europe, walk around looking like. that's just putting a big neon sign over your head asking to be bullied.
i mean, all it takes is for someone, male or female, to have dyed their hair a non natural hair color that everyone will be asking them if they lost a bet
