I mean I haven’t seen it yet, but he knew what he was going was wrong. He tried so hard in the beginning to be supportive and I was happy. But I knew that jealousy monster was going to rear it’s ugly head. Hopefully he’ll learn his lesson.Saw tonight's episode, i actually felt bad for his character, like i get why he wouldn't talk but parents dropping the disappointed word, damn

I think 2 things here. First we finally see that Jonathan has a real emotional side and does care that he could infact be the disappointment of the family. I feel like they might be working towards an identity for Jonathan, like Clark is the superhero, Lois is the reporter, Jordan is the teenage "moral compass", and now we need Jonathan needs something and I think its going to be sort of a "Hey I may be an ordinary human but I can easily be as helpful as anyone who is super powered" type thing.Where do you guys figure this is headed? I don't get the Jonathan is going bad vibe. He was on the verge of ugly crying at the end so he seems to feel like he really fucked up.

Second, I think we are really seeing a more angry side of Clark we haven't seen before. I honestly thought he was going to start really yelling at him that whole time and I have a feeling we might see it again at some point.
Well, I think that was explained because he was doing Superman things and the kids never knew his secret identity. Then once they found out about it he stopped being the absent father since they understood why he was gone. BUT I think Clark is going to start getting more angry when they either do something incredibly stupid or reckless. Like they are keeping hidden Jordan's training and that might set him off.Cool. I could be down for that. A little more reality would be good for the show I think. They seemed to move from Clark being an absent father in Metropolis to the best dad ever in Smallville almost over night. I'd like to see him get a little more unhinged at home.
Vague spoilers but imo what he did in this episode is actually right, or at least he's trying so hard to do the right thing.he knew what he was going was wrong.
I'm curious why you think that. The only other time we've seen him being that angry before towards his kids was when he was being affected by Bizarro's visions and that's not gonna happen anymoreI think we are really seeing a more angry side of Clark we haven't seen before.
Only because usually when Clark and Lois are disciplining, Lois is the more out right angry parent and Clark is alot more calm, so it was surprising to see him get so mad outright. I can understand its a stretch but it was surprising that he wasn't more in control of his anger like usual.Vague spoilers but imo what he did in this episode is actually right, or at least he's trying so hard to do the right thing.
When Clark said something along the line of "dammit then act like it" that's what Jon is doing. A youtuber I'm watching brought up the interesting point that what Jon and Clark did in this episode is basically the same thing: protecting someone by withholding an information from a person of authority, it's just that for Jon his parents doesn't know what he's hiding. That for me is what made his breakdown at the end even more sad

Uhhh, Jon is taking a drug that gives him super powers and he is only doing it because he isn't as popular or important like he was in metropolis. After everything he saw last season he should know how dangerous it is to use something that could affect him in a number of unknown ways. Look how aggressive it made him, he practically attacked his brother because he was jealous when they were supposed to be training. They’re the worst parents. Imagine having twin teenagers. One of them gets super powers, the other doesn’t. After lots of neglect while you are chasing bad guys and stories, the one without takes performance enhancing drugs. And you are somehow shocked and lay your baggage on him. The shows been pretty good about showcasing their terrible parenting and then explaining why they fell short. Either they are laying that on really thick atm, or they’ve completely missed this.
Yeah no, Jon went from being amazing to being second best and can't handle it. Its his fault and the parents are doing there best with everything they are going through. They’re the worst parents. They’re kid is legit choosing to do something stupid…he knew what he should and shouldn’t do. I wouldn’t say they’re terrible parents. They’re not. You do all you can to teach your kids to do and be better. He chose to do something stupid. He deserved every bit of that anger. Things aren’t going his way so he chooses the stupid option. One that could’ve killed him or others? Oh and let’s not forget he’s half kryptonian…that drug could’ve affect him differently as well as his family. And then there’s the drug dealing girlfriend…that kid needs to get a grip. They’re the worst parents. Imagine having twin teenagers. One of them gets super powers, the other doesn’t.
