Jordan North Dj

Just reading the press release again it doesn't say he leaving. It says "we say goodbye". That odd wording don't you think? Jamie is to "join" not Jamie is the new host. Radio 1 have been doing these games every Monday through February. Do you think maybe this is a prank?

In Vick's post she said "just please look after yourself there". I think it's safe to say he going to Capital considering Vick worked there before. There clearly no love lost there between Vick and Capital. Something big happened must of happened. Anyone know what the low down is? DM me if you can't speak out. I think there something fish stuff going on at Capital as it's not the first time someone said something like this. Of course it could be nothing. :emoji_thinking:

Everything seemed perfectly fine last week and earlier this week. He was saying how he hoped he wouldn’t lose his job after putting his foot in it too many times, and apologised for talking about a movie with inappropriate themes. He always seemed anxious about losing his job, it seems odd he would resign, particularly to move to a commercial station with a smaller audience. I’m guessing it’s about money and Capital clearly have the freedom to offer more than a BBC budget stretches to.

Every few days he said stuff about how he’s been in trouble and doubts they’d keep him and Vick for much longer, it never felt like he willingly wanted to go but was always getting told off.

It was his birthday midweek, and he was being reflective on how Judge Jordan had runs its course. He said he’d like to stop doing it, but if he knew he was leaving soon then he had no reason to mention Judge Jordan specifically. He could have just stopped that feature when he left.

And then of course he left on Thursday without an announcement or a goodbye, was this immediate sacking or approval to resign without a notice period? BBC Radio 2 told Ken Bruce to leave without working his notice when he joined Greatest Hits.

Vick Hope left Capital so she knows what it’s like over there. This week Jordan made a reference to Chris Stark when talking about good/bad drivers, but Chris was a forbidden name (when Radio 1 DJs join a rival they’re banned from being mentioned again, such as Chris Moyles and Dev). Was Chris Stark on his mind because he’d been poached to work with him at Capital?

Jordan getting into "trouble" was and still is his (ageing) act. I am convinced some "errors" are faked for effect. He was not really in trouble with the BBC. What might have changed the atmosphere is it's rumoured Jordan signed to Capital weeks ago and the admin was completed Friday. The reason Jordan was saying he hopes he is not fired was because he didn't want to be thrown off air before saying goodbye. But that was never going to happen. That's why Jordan is now is now bit miffed with the BBC but what did he expect.

The fact the BBC did not let him say goodbye on air is because they are hurt as he going to do the competitor to do the job they have been building him up for. I can understand they are pissed. But also what is management up to letting one of there biggest stars leave. He been hanging around Capital people for a while who clearly were talking him into moving. BBC should have been on it but I guess as his contract is up in September they though they were safe and had time.

I think Chris was dropped from Radio 1 (because Scott left and would be odd paired up with someone new) but was not picked up with Scott on Radio 2 (another mistake). That's when Capital stepped in. Jordan has not been dropped. He jumped and that's the difference. I also suspect Capital have paid Jordan out of his contract (hence the admin) because there is no way they will wait till September to get him on air. Think Roman contract is up in April/May. So they will want him on air soon as.

My guess for the reason Jordan betrayed the BBC is because Greg has signed a new contract (I hope) with Radio 1. Jordan is now 34, he didn't want to wait any longer. What I find funny not that it's a problem is Capital is a youth station. Roman was 24 when he started on breakfast. They are replacing him with someone older. I find that funny for a youth station. Screams they are desperate. I think Capital need Jordan more than he needs Capital.

I don't think VIck left Capital on good terms. To make such a point like that when it's not needed in public message to Jordan makes me think something big went on. They can pay to hide a scandal unlike the BBC so I guess we will never know.

This is one of my favourite pictures of Jordan. Wow! The eyes.
