Ugh annoyed, I was going to subscribe then checked he had taken his vids down

I don't usually engage here, but I can confirm that Josh's OF is a mess. I was a regular subscriber until December and found his content lacking any progression and opted to end my membership. I resubscribed a couple weeks ago because I was curious as to what he had posted since then and I was massively disappointed. Since December, he had turned on DRM, which doesn't allow users to save any photos or videos once a subscription has ended. I messaged him on OF and told him about my disappointment, but he didn't make any sort of attempt to correct the issue either thru a refund or anything else. When I logged into OF today, I noticed that his most recent video is from late November and the five postings since then (including just two this year) are photos. Obviously he has removed lots of content. Ironically, by dropping the price he is offering less for less money. I immediately turned of my rebill. I wish him luck in his future endeavors, because I don't think that OF is going to be one of them.
I guess the fact that he was doing long videos for the price he set that was included, which is a quite a rarity with accounts nowadays. The fact he has now chosen for limited content for less money will inevitably cause a significant loss of the fan base. As you said has ruined his future prospects which is a shame.

i'm going on a wild guess here, because this is what happens with a lot of creators who turn their page over to a management, and say that the reason why those videos on the main feed were taken down is because they're gonna be sold as ppv. they'll be advertised as if they were new videos, and then people buy them, and it's one of the old videos he had posted on the feed before

This may work for a short time, but most people are not going to pay for videos they have already seen (since they have been leaked) and even if they were new, nothing guarantees that they will finally cum.
