used to be part of an agency and this business model is more profitable for the content creator. They most likely offered him an advance and then a monthly guarantee. They'll handle the messaging too. Most people will choose money (*projected) and less work. personally won't be paying for any PPV just gonna wait for the leaks

Yeah it is annoying but it clearly must be working for a lot of these guys at least in the short term because I've seen really long term established models/porn stars switch to this release/subscription model. I also think this is the model that a lot of the bigger female creators use. And I've noticed that it seems like a lot of these straight guys who make either gay for pay or solo content for a primarily gay male subscriber base get frustrated because they know a lot of female creators who are making significantly more money than they are so it makes sense they try to do the same thing. But of course the reality is that female creators will generally always make more money because there are way more straight men than gay men in the world.

Josh does not understand that OF is a highly competitive market place, and most "creators" there fail quickly. These meatheads think entitlement rather than competition.

I suspect this model works out well for females performers as there are simply a lot more men willing to pay any amount for their favorites.
It probably doesn’t work out so well for male performers as the gay population is smaller. The female audience is going to want more personal interaction as well.
These male creators can’t compare themselves to female creators. I’d guess only 10% of men are attracted to men enough to pay for content. That leaves 90% for females. Very few male performers will ever reach the bottom tier of top female performers, it’s just basic math.

The 360 OF creators pull after building a solid fanbase is wild. He only recently increased his subscription pice from $10 to $15 and posted a video explaining the reason for the increase was to cover his high quaility content.
