It's not generic, it's just a very grim, well-made real time war movie with copious realistic gore and shellshock for much of the second half. It's well-reviewed, but it's not exactly Saltburn (a much more superficial but fun film) in terms of viral content.
I’m saying it *appears* generic at a glance. Hollywood pumps out a dozen war movies a year, and there’s nothing about it to immediately distinguish it from the others if one isn’t inclined to look closer. I’m talking about the trailer s and marketing, not the actual film.
