Photos & Videos Korean BL Stars

Yes  if anything, those "fans" started it and were too entitled to begin with.

I think Mew would blend nicely with the Korean cast . I'm more intrigued on how the series would be made. I wasn't a fan of "Peach of Time", mainly because of the awkward dual language usage, but I hope this one would be handled a bit different somehow.
there's a youthful glowing vibe with mew on that poster, he looks really handsome on that shot. Yeah...i totally agree with you, when they did peach of time, i dont see the chemistry between jimmy and the korean guy, what made it worst is that tommy's there, i mean they conditioned us to fall for jimmy and tommy and suddenly they're two separate characters that doesn't connect with each other...that to me is a wrong casting...

I haven't started this yet, it's called Happy Merry Ending, i think it's now on episode 3, i do love the look, so cute!
Neither have I :joy:. While I'm aware of this, my new job is barely giving me time to breath :worried:.

Anyway for anyone interested, "Happy Merry Ending" tells a romance between an apathetic wedding pianist (played by Lee Dong Won) and an enthusiastic wedding host (Byun Sung Tae).

Lee Dong Won is a member of a Kpop boygroup, KNK (in which another fellow BL actor, Park Seoham, was a part of).

While Byun Sung Tae is rookie actor (played a minor supporting role in "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha") who also has an idol background (was a contestant of "Produce X 101" survival show, although got eliminated early).

They look quite young, hopefully I'll have the time to start watching it myself this week :D.

there will be a movie version of this series where your eyes linger
Yes, they have actually released the movie version (as in a compiled version of the series in movie format, I'm not sure why many K-BL series do it tho) in the same year the series was released.

Or is there any new remake movie I'm not aware of??

i think you're correct, it's the same thing. i don't know why they do it like that. maybe it will be nice if the movie will have the extended scenes but probably it's the same story line, it's a nice series though, i enjoyed watching it.

thanks for this info, it seems to be an interesting series. that's true it's always challenging to start a new job, there's tons of pressures and adjustments...

There's an upcoming K-BL titled "Love Mate" (releasing in a couple of hours as I'm writing this).

It's gonna be another office romance type (quite popular genre & setting nowadays).

The 2 main actors are newcomers.

Cho Han Gyeol, who has apparently played some supporting roles in dramas I've never watched before.

And Cho Hyun Min, who doesn't seem to have much pictures online as of yet.

I'm not completely sold yet because there have been some other recent K-BLs which have been leaving better first impression through their trailers and promotional materials. But I sincerely hope that this series will do well :).

Also I must've missed this :scream:, but "Love is Like a Cat" has a trailer:

..also the main couple seem to communicate in 2 different languages & pretend that they understand each other, so it's "Peach of Time" all over . I still don't see any release date tho.

Found this online, how many of these KBL had you seen? Me, 6 of 8
As per yesterday I have just caught up with all of them :grinning:.

"The Eighth Sense" has climbed to my top 3 K BLs of all time for sure . It was cinematic. Not exactly perfect, but I just loved everything.

"Our Dating Sim", even tho the story was light, has also become one of my favorites, mainly because I also have a crush on the main actors :yum.

"A Shoulder to Cry On" had so much potential and I still like it, but it was a bit queerbaity and had no kiss which kinda made me a bit disappointed.

"Unintentional Love Story" and "All the Liquors" were also better than I expected.

I had high hopes for "Individual Circumstances" because the one of the actors is super hot, but the series was overall a bit boring .

Both "The Director Who Buys Me Dinner" and "The New Employee" were technically BLs from last year, although they finished this year. The former was a bit meh tbh, but I kinda liked the latter (sadly both were kinda too short).

Same here. I may have the time but sometimes after an exhausting day, I'd rather rest or do something else than watch through a series.

I used to try watching every new BL in existence back in the days :joy: but this has changed over the last couple of years, because, even though there are more now in terms of quantity, the quality itself starts to lack. So many BLs nowadays (especially the ones from Thailand or the Philippines) emphasize more on the sexual aspects but don't give a good story/acting.

However the Korean BL industry has just started growing recently and the numbers are still quite a few so it's easier to catch up.

I also like "Love Mate" so far .

I think there's an amateurish story development at My Story, TeeJay is cute though but the writing is terrible, and weirdly the dog is again missing, and are you kidding me the Jelai person is kinda irritating, not sure why but i think they can let go of that character as Jelai's story is not important. However you're right, I think there's a lot of plot development that goes behind the scenes at KBL. There's a lot of efforts invested in Korean productions.

I literally skipped some parts on the latest episode of My Story. I know that they're trying to be as natural as possible but some of their inside jokes are annoying. The director was too lazy to cut and retake some of the scenes. There were some awkward pauses between dialogues like wth.

It is also rated as PG-13 but the questions asked on the game the 2 main leads played were obviously PG-18, or at least 15. Not to mention it's too cringey.

Totally agree with you, the writing is really so amateurish it's like the writers did not take the time to sit down and think, it seems that they're writing the story as they go along. Yup, the game questions are really weird, I just don't think it belongs in the story, it's just a time waster. The only consolation is that the guy from Rainbow P is just given few short lines 'cause he can't really act, he has no emotions so to speak, but he's cute don't get me wrong, he will do well in the swimwear photo shoot no dialogues and that's it. Now, compared to the Korean actors, I mean they kinda understood their characters and they can act....one more thing, I don't know if it's just me but I totally super super not like the jelai one, i find jelai to be really toxic and irritating it's like why is that character in the story, it doesn't make any sense...
