I spent Labor Day weekend in LA and hit the Century Spa on Monday afternoon. Hadn't been there in over 3 yrs, and the place was hopping. I visited Houston for work this week. I found both Gangnam and Spa World to be very, very nice! They are big, clean, and well appointed. The only complaint I have is about the lack of lounge chairs in the wet area at both spas. I get overheated easily and like having somewhere to lounge outside of pools/saunas for a while without having to leave the wet area. These are the first spas I have visited with zero seating in the wet area. Gangnam has a lounge area on the second floor of the mens locker room, but I still dislike drying off each time. Both spas didn’t seem to be monitored much by the staff there so some guys were having fun in the saunas throughout my visits.
When I arrived in Houston, I tried to recall the spas I had read about on LPSG and start heading there right away. I made the mistake of recalling the wrong spa, and visited King Spa first. It is apparently co-ed and clothed, so I left quickly. The female front desk attendant even walked through the mens locker room freely while I was changing there. There was just one person in the tiny spa, and he was aggressively following me and watching me as soon as I arrived. It seems he needs to be told about Gangnam and Spa World for better cruising opportunities! I wouldn’t have mind getting to know him.

First visit to Spa Castle NY yesterday. Was there late morning until mid afternoon. Disappointed that the steam room was not more steamy (literally), although there was some physical steam of sorts. Probably should have taken off the wedding ring, that might have helped assure those that were active that I didn't need them to stop on my account.
Did get a body scrub. ALL the body was most definitely scrubbed. Having previously only been scrubbed at Sojo (and resort spas) this was new but excellent. Felt amazing and I wish I was closer to get that treatment more often.
Was there with someone else and that was by far the best part of the day. No physical tension after scrub, massage, and rounds of steam, sauna, and cold pools but did leave with another kind of tension - not unpleasant. Looking forward to addressing that, hopefully soon.

Sojo Spa is in Edgewater NJ, just south of GWB. Korean spa-inspired but highergend decor and amenities. Lots of white marble and chrome. Bathhouse is super bright and light filled. Clientele is very suburban, in my experience. Lots of swimsuits in the bathhouse. But I've never seen a lot of men in the bathhouse. Usually just 2 or 3. Sometimes just me. Super relaxing.
I do love their cold plunge pool. 7 ft deep and right outside the sauna and steam room.
Anyone been to the small spa in palisades park,nj called crystal sauna & spa? Super cheap and cruisy as well. Heading there and meeting a friend to have some fun.
Is the “lifeguard” seat still there with an attendant always there at Island Spa Edison, NJ?

Yes. However, the attendant seems to make his way around. I’ve found on weekdays that he’s not always there in place.
