I fondly remember going to Korean spas and being given two hand towels, so that everyone was naked. Ah, the good old days, the days of complete nudity at physical exams, Korean spas, YMCA swims, and in open showers. I'm glad I was alive during those years to take advantage of the freedom.
My experience there has been guys take the easy way out and do the cover up. The carrot or the stick? You need a majority to go naked otherwise it will tank and everyone sits in towels.
Exactly. Somewhere the US lost it's way and began coddling the next gens. I remember fondly when we all had to shower in junior high after the first 2-3 weeks of group showers the hurdle was over and a lifetime of zero anxiety with them.
Spa World in Centreville, Virginia you had to walk into this main area totally naked well they do give you a small hand towel.
Unfortunately the predators abused the system of trust and destroyed Americans' ability to foster body openness and positivity. IDK whether Scandinavians, Russians, and Koreans just don't have the density of sexual predators that the USA does, the predators are still culturally protected there, or there's something culturally wrong with the USA that created more pervs. Probably a bit of all, but my money is on the puritanical culture creating the latter.

I agree with that. On the other hand, it seems to help guys be more bold when looking for action because the towel feels quicker and easier for covering up a boner when the attendant pops in. Not a weekend but went yesterday and it was mad packed. There was a line for women since they ran out of lockers but for mens there were not. The steam room was up and running and got nice and hot. Unfortunately it was so packed though, it was hard to enjoy any of the coed saunas since it was that many people. It did look like they might be expanding outward though cause I noticed them starting new construction against the building and didn't recall that last time I went months ago.

I had heard that the Korean spas required complete nudity in the wet areas, but was still skeptical. But the prospect of being naked amongst all those men was intriguing, so I went. After I put my shoes in the shoe locker and turned the corner, to my delight I saw that it was true. Everybody was naked and it wasn't a gay bathhouse; just casual nudity with no embarrassment or attempts to cover up. How I long for those days, instead of seeing guys doing the towel dance and some walking around in swim trunks, destroying the sanitary conditions that were the hallmark of spas. When I go, I still walk around naked as do several others , but we seem to be the odd men out. What a shame.
