I used to go to the downtown Bham Y. Last time I went was probably over a year ago. Still open showers...and usually will catch some form of cruise activity..something as simple as lingering looks or j/o session in the sauna. I loved the variety of guys I'd see. Well hung fit blacks with bubble asses, to chubbier older business men with uncut dicks. I'd jack off in my car several times after working out and showering there.this was a few years ago but all 3 of the YMCAs in birmingham, AL had open showers, saunas, steams and even whirpools in the locker rooms. the downtown location had a spacious layout for the wet area but the mountain brook location had slightly more action. i've been to several ymca's along the south/east coast but those 2 were probably my favorite.
the last location was pretty quiet but also had open showers.
Have you seen anything good or had any great experiences there yet?World Gym Palm Springs has an open shower and curtained showers opposite each other plus a steam room and sauna in men's locker room.
I don't know where the thread went, but I'll list some gyms I've been to in the last twelve months with open showers in the mens locker room. Personally I enjoy the freedom of being naked around other men and don't stare at others. Somehow these environments make me feel more masculine and comfortable with own body. Hopefully others will join in and add more gyms.

I think we all know that the $2 million renovation will replace that open communal shower room with closed individual shower stalls. Is there even a question about that in today's society? The building is to be renovated for over $2million in the next year. I'm interested to see what happens to the locker rooms.

There's a pool that was built one town over in the past 5 years. The locker room has 2 bradley poles with 5 shower heads each. It also has 4 stalls with curtains. Yes, there's something for guys that don't want to be seen showering, but there are actually open showers, too. Maybe there's hope?I think we all know that the $2 million renovation will replace that open communal shower room with closed individual shower stalls.
