Lucas (k-pop Star: Wayv, Nct, Superm)

Do you guys think they'll ever let him come back or is his career done? It's been over a year :worried:

I don't know if his career is done, but he won't be coming back to WayV/NCT/SuperM... that would do more harm than good to those groups. But maybe once his contract expires he could make a comeback of sorts outside SM?

WayV is slated to perform on the 27th and 28th in Japan, during SMTown, that would seem like the perfect place for them to gauge reactions since they aren't really known in Japan. If he isn't there then I doubt he is coming back.

The other member who has had success as an actor is also slated to go back to Korea, so I'm guessing they will actually get a comeback. The other units already had 2 comebacks, so it seems odd they have made them wait so much if he isn't going to be involved.

However I honestly doubt the reactions would be positive if he is involved in anything, there's been an increase in Sinophobia in Korea since the olympics and further reactions against misbehaving idols. So he and the group would have an uphill battle.

Also, the company is debuting another unit, Japanese one. And a non-nct boy group, so I'd be worried if I were in his group.

Well, we practically knew this, but it's been over a year and WayV is finally making a comeback without Lucas (of course)... so he's career is 1000% done. He'll probably remain in the SM dungeon until his contract expires.

I read that some of the accusers closed their accounts? Is that true?

With that and Lucas sort of active on IG posting stories I had a little hope he'd be in this comeback. Surely SM would terminate their contract with Lucas instead of waiting around until it ends?

If the accusations weren't true, SM would have cleared his name by now... so I'm relieved that the group at least has a chance at continuing, putting him back in the group would be the end of it for all members.

Nah the accusers are long gone and his fans are just making stuff up like attributing everything to a korean fan (ssng), that is still active and following wayv around btw. So the company would had sued her and anyone into the ground if true.

And no, he probably had a good contract due to joining SuperM (which was killed off due to covid tbh). So probably better for it to run its course. Plus im sure they have him doing other work or something. They did the same thing with Kangmin from Super Junior, had a bunch of scandals and then they took him out of the group and off the spotlight without ever confirming he is out of the group. years later, they officially announced his departure.

It's pretty sad honestly, I mean we all know SM hate their Chinese artists, they always mistreat them and poorly promote them, also, since last year there have been a lot of false accusations towards idols, and even the innocent ones were kicked out of their groups! so I guess will never know for sure!

Didn’t seem like there was an issue with him being chinese until the accusations started

Lol there should be a company that collects all the idols that SM or YG or whoever wrongfully kicked out and lets them debut again in new groups

the issue is that they become ultimately hated by the fans themselves and if they stay around the members it rubs on the others
Yeah, Lucas' chinese fans dropped him like a hot potato. And koreans too. The only ones that still care about him are the international fans, but I don't think that's enough to sustain a idol/celebrity career.
