my way of looking at the entire post-break-up-bffs-that-take-trips-to-the-desert/beach-together-share-a-dog-and-help-each-other-decorate-their-separate-apartments scenario is like this: does it make sense that Mark & Ethan cracked the remain-close-friends-after-a-break-up code that's baffled peeps the world over for centuries, or does it make more sense that Mark & Ethan (obviously) fake broke up to get peeps out of their relationship/bedroom and free themselves from the youtube couple shackles that bound them? That's really all it comes down to. It's a cute idealized sort of post-break up premise, but I just don't buy it. lol
The realist in me can't ignore how beneficial the break up has been for them. Lots of renewed interest/chatter and YouTube views are on the up. Let's not forgot how much of a business this is for them, since neither of them seem to have actual jobs. I've been quite cynical about their motives since they took part in "Studlebrity" (Studlebrity (TV Movie 2014) - IMDb), then turned their backs on it because it was bad for their 'brand'.
