my way of looking at the entire post-break-up-bffs-that-take-trips-to-the-desert/beach-together-share-a-dog-and-help-each-other-decorate-their-separate-apartments scenario is like this: does it make sense that Mark & Ethan cracked the remain-close-friends-after-a-break-up code that's baffled peeps the world over for centuries, or does it make more sense that Mark & Ethan (obviously) fake broke up to get peeps out of their relationship/bedroom and free themselves from the youtube couple shackles that bound them? That's really all it comes down to. It's a cute idealized sort of post-break up premise, but I just don't buy it. lol

one more thing, from what I recall they said the whole Studlebrity doc was misrepresented and the finished product was nothing like what was sold to them and that's why they act like it doesn't exist. lol

Another big factor is how their fans are constantly raising the Happy Relationship bar, and ripping Ethan specifically to shreds when their demands aren't met. The weird anger/resentment from their fanbase when they don't make a post/video celebrating THEIR anniversary or v-day. The blowback when either of them posts a pic of one of his male friends. lol

I remember a long time ago when I think Ethan went to NY and Mark went to Seattle to visit their friends, when they got back home and Ethan made a post to the effect of "back with bae" or something with their dog, the girls were so pissed he didn't mention Mark. lmao People just seem to really resent them (but mostly Ethan) when they don't express their personal feeling for each other online, and I think that grew tiresome.

Completely disagree. It was always Mark that made the videos that are always featuring his adoration of Ethan, Mark always seemed more lovey-dovey. Even the most recent one about Mexico City love. It's like a love card to/featuring Ethan. In the breakup video you can see that Mark is so sad, bummed and teary eyed and Ethan is the one that seems weirdly robotic and chill about it.

In an old interview Ethan said something like he was uncomfortable with doing yt/sharing his life online, but realized if he wanted to be with Mark he had to deal with it, so he did. People seem to have a perception of Ethan as some lucky fuck that's ungrateful for the wealth of riches he's been handed with a bow on it. lol But he didn't want any of this. He just wanted Mark. Everything else came much later and he just went with it because, like he said, it was fun but also because he loves Mark so much.

it's like... pretty obvious they are still together, just not announcing it or playing it up on social media for likes. But a lot of their fans seem super pissed about that? It's weird. Peeps watched them as a couple, because they are a couple, and one would think above all else they would WANT M&E TOGETHER, but peeps are pissed af that they're being left out of the relationship - regardless of the fact that drop-kicking us out was for the better of M&E's romantic relationship... LOL

OK, after some further investigation the trip was when they went to Bonnaroo for Ethan's bday. Beau is a big bottom bitch, so maybe the 3sum was Mark's gift to Ethan and Ethan got to top for once because Mark didn't play that (back then...) or something? lol I bet they spit-roasted Beau... lucky fuck!

b4 the break up they barely used to crack 100k++ views unless they really laid the boyfriend shtick on thick af in the thumbnail/title (which is probably why they did it in the first place having to actively pimp their relationship out to get views made them feel gross), now they regularly pass 100k just posting whatever the fuck mess. lol

Whether it's from his own personal growth or it was sparked by Ethan, and he's now pushing himself, Mark is very clearly putting himself out of his comfort zone. That dress video is actually amazing. They both looked so chill.
