I hope not. I thought it was a really stupid move when they tried to do that to Sulu in the Star Trek reboot movies just because George Takei was publicly out. It doesn't fit the character, and Matt could use a recent straight role on his resume!

That article by his husband’s an interesting read BTW. Ironically, from what I remember Matt being gay was rumoured for a long time, especially with those pictures of him making out with a guy when he was younger, and I remember someone asking him when White Collar was on and he didn’t say either way but said that there was a whole cast and crew depending on him for employment.

Who’s the gay actor and friend that introduced them? Lot of name drops in that article but is weirdly vague about that.

Lee Pace.

Matt and Lee go way back to their school days when they did theater stuff together.

Simon thought Matt was cute and asked Lee if he could set them up. Lee asked Matt and Matt said no, he was anti-dating entertainment people.

A few months later, Matt wasn't having any luck so he asked Lee about that guy that wanted to go out with him.

Lee staged a BBQ at his house and then slipped away leaving the two of them alone and they have been together, "pretty much ever since."

Lee used to have BBQs there all the time with some people you may recognize.

Yes! It was reported on Queerty and his people(I think) asked the site to remove the picture and maybe the article too.

I remember that too! I think that was in an interview in some men's magazine. Details magazine I think it was. I may very well be wrong.

No. He said that relationships in Hollywood are transactional and he didn't like that so he likely avoided dating people in the industry for that reason. I'm sure if his friend told him he should go out with this guy, that was enough of a recommendation for him to try it.

Compared to other out actors (and even actors in general) the man has worked non-stop for a decade. He has made much more money than his husband for years at this point and at the height of his beauty (although he still is) he could have pulled anyone.

I always got the feeling that Matt and Simon just might have a "secret" open relationship. Or that the two of them don't mind bringing in another guy into their married sex life. Not just some random guy, but someone they both know personally and trust.

I say secret because of Matt's celebrity and his status, including Simon's as well. But it wouldn't surprise me one bit if one day it ever came out that they have an open relationship, or have had a threesome with another guy, like Jonathan Bailey. That's just the vibe I get from those two.

Yeah, but it looked like he did it because of desperation(work not coming, hook up with a connected average-looking person).

He has been consistent workwise in the past decade, yes. But it looked like his luck began to turn since hooking up with a Simon.

Having an open relationship IS the norm for gay couples in America. So, no surprise there if they were doing it too!

And yes, they would want it to be a secret because it is considered scandalous and outrageous to do that. Plus, Simon has kids living with him. Not a good look for a guardian.

As for Jonathan Bailey, did you see him and Matt kiss on the lips at some award show? I see people saying that their sex scene in Fellow Travelers looked like they were HAVING REAL SEX. So, there's that!

I think they do too bc I am honestly surprised by how many married gay men are open like that. It’s hot though but I’ve gotten with older married dudes and even some that already have children. But Matt bomer is so hot and I’m curious about if anyone on here has done anything with him or his husband.

Well even without marriage, as we all know there are a lot of gay men who are very touchy feely, and very sexually driven with their other gay male friends. No matter if they're all in a relationship with someone or not.

I've never been one of those guys but a lot of gay men are so open with who they get involved with sexually, it's almost like a brainwashing system that's been created, to the point where their "partner" doesn't even care if his husband or boyfriend is sexually involved with another guy.

Probably because he too is also sexually involved with that other guy or someone else, and everybody knows about everybody so no one seems to care. Nor would they call it cheating
