I agree, but comparing this scene with the shot from episode 4, I think the blurred one shows his real ass, because the context of this scene (the distance and small ambient) seems more comfortable for an actor to go nude, not to mention his ass here look as meatier as the one shown in the film Trust. However, the shot from episode 4 looked more like a double, because that ass was flat af (the double is probly a skinny guy and not as tall as Matt) and it didn't show his face, maybe because the scene was set in ''public'', and imo it makes sense for them to use a double.

Good point, it's definitely much more of an ask for an actor to go nude in public than on a closed set, I'd probably feel the same!

but actors do it all the time. One actress said there were tons of people on set and its a scene nothing more although you the actor is naked

not everyone feels comfortable being butt naked in front of a bunch of strangers.
there's been several actors who've in the past talked about how awkward nude/sex scenes are, because they're just butt naked in front of a bunch of strangers, and pretending to have sex while being watched and filmed

Some are fine with it, others aren't. it's not going to be the same for every actor I guess..I think a lot of us expect them to be fine with it, but it's still their body on show at the end of the day, so it should ultimately be their choice even if it is just acting. He may well have a nudity clause written into his contract anyway which determines what he will and won't do etc, who knows?
