Matthew dixon british diver

He didn't get a medal on GB Acquatics Championship. He was 5th on 3M. Does that mean his Paris Olympics dream is over?
Sadly for Matthew he's really out of the running for Paris. Jack Laugher is almost certain to be Team GB's No.1 3m diver. Then it looks to be a choice between Dan Goodfellow, Ross Haslam & Jordan Houlden for the second spot. Each team only has 2 places in the solo competitions and 1 place in the syncro competitions.

In the 3m it's almost certain the first spot will go to Noan Williams and then the 2nd spot is likely to be between Robbie Lee & Kyle Kothari.

But unfortunately Matthew did not make the scores needed to be in consideration. That having been said he did very well considering that he's only been doing 3m for around a year. Also, I believe that as his rating has slipped he's now lost his funding. So his F may be his best way of funding himself now....

If he goes from Diving to Coaching, the OF will have to go. Can't see trying to guide the next group of up and coming divers while doing OF, even if it is only PG-13.

When chatting to Matt some time ago, I asked him what it would require for him to qualify for the Olympics. He was very realistic about his chances & was clear that he would need to meet a qualifying score that was well above his PB at the time, so it was unlikely. He did well to beat his PB, although it wasn't enough to meet the qualifying score. I don't see him quitting any time soon, he appears to have re-found his love for diving & his OF income means he is able to continue. He is still only 1 year in to his switch to springboard, so still all to play for in the future.

Yes, let's all hope that his ability on the springboard improves as time goes on. I suppose we also have to bear in mind that Jack Laugher, who's definitely the best GB 3m diver, Dan Goodfellow and James Heatley are something like 5 or 6 years older than Matt. Which means that when they retire (although there's no telling when that might be) the next generation may have an easier time getting into the medal positions. Matt certainly does come across as a decent lad - having spoken to him myself he's certainly someone I believe deserves a decent chance in life.

Saw his new white mesh jock pics and they are amazing, hoping some from behind show up too.
He's had nearly $300 worth of tips on it. Hopefully he'll see there's good money to be made in being more adventurous and he'll push his limits a bit further maybe

Fuck. He’s the hottest of ALL of them imo..
I agree with you. There is just something about Matthew that makes him quite sexy (IMO), and although we've not, yet, seen all of him, and we may not, he comes across as the most likely of the GB Divers to show all he has. Especially if he fails to get back into the top tier of Team GB Divers. He certainly seems quite happy to show his arse these days.

Definitely agree. With him out of contention for the Olympics and losing his funding, he probably needs to keep boosting his income and doesn't really have that much to lose by being more revealing compared to the others
