The eyebrows and 5 o'clock shadow certainly make him a better fit for the son of Hoechlin's Clark Kent looks-wise.

He is very handsome and looks like he could pass for Alex garfin brother more believably
he also looks more like a star football player than the previous actor, which was Johnathan's whole thing.
