He will never be in an A-list blockbuster. He's simply not a great actor.

I wouldn't consider that a mainstream break... I've never heard one thing about that show outside of this site, and I watch Disney+ all the time. If it had just started, I'd say wait and give it some time. If it's been on three years, then that ship has sailed.

But in all seriousness, a lot of the other shows that cute guys are associated with on here, I have heard plenty about them off LPSG. "The Summer I Turned Pretty", "Euphoria", "High School Musical: The Series"... I've heard lots about those, even though I do not watch them. "Love Victor"? I have not heard anything about. So no, it's his mainstream break, and when the show is over, few people will remember it. Sorry.
Disney+ and Hulu are both perfectly mainstream, just as mainstream (or more) then HBO.

Two things are true
I - Disney+/Hulu is mainstream. United States mainstream. Pretty much all non-US cimino fans are queer people that follows pages of queer content or simply hot cute guys.
II - he's absolutely nowhere near popular as your average dude at Netflix shows. Take Nicholas Galitzine for example. Guy was in a movie with several A-listers (Cinderella) and his numbers didn't even scratch the 600k mark. But only took a leading character in a D-list quality movie at Netflix to him reach 4 million followers. Why? Because Cinderella was an Amazon Prime movie and that Republican crap was at Netflix.

love victor is displayed worldwide. it was on hulu in america, but then for the rest of the world it was on disney+.
regardless of the platform, love victor was a gay show, so even if it had been on netflix, it wouldn't been geo-blocked in countries that don't allow gay content.
michael also had plenty of time and opportunity to make it big during and after love victor, but he still hasn't landed any decent projects. i don't think any of his co-stars have.
but being a main character of disney+ show that's lgbt+, doing lots of photoshoots and interviews, will classify you as mainstream.
mainstream these days doesn't mean landing blockbuster movies. it means being popular online. and michael is plenty popular. any time he has a photoshoot or post a pic/vid, that shit is all over gay twitter and tumblr, just like all the other pretty boys
