"But you know that", omg you caught me, I absolutely knew exactly what you were trying to say... Be serious, 99% of the content posted during his enlistment was pre-recorded and the other 1% wasn't breaking any rulesI wasn't talking about pre-recorded videos, but you know that. Can you name another idol exempted from military duty to serve as a public worker, but who still posted multiple messages to fans each week, and posted dance covers of new songs (songs released after their enlistment)? Or who got plastic surgery during their mandatory 2 year enlistment?
Anyone who follows kpop knows that korean netizens are always salivating to criticize popular idols. Aside from "not taking his enlistment seriously," Wonho's routine fan service of tiny shorts, ass squeeze shots, and purposeful ballsac slips, would of course receive domestic criticism or jokes if he was better known. But no one is talking about him. He's Hyuna without the tracks. Which is a plus for us, cuz the man is an attention whore to the extreme; the less well he does, the more he'll show.

A breakdown of why everything you said is incredibly stupid:
1) Idols are allowed to post messages during enlistment and be active on social media. There are some restrictions but it differs between active duty, supplemental and the branch they're assigned to. A few idols/celebs that were active on social media/interacted with fans while enlisted: Shinee - Minho & Key, Day6 - Sungjin, FT Island - Hongki, Infinite - Woohyun, The Rose - Hajoon, Block B - B-Bomb, Pentagon - Jinho & Hui. Some of these people were more active on social media than Wonho was.
2) The "dance covers": If we look at the videos on his tiktok and youtube (which is where those videos are primarily posted), he has one dance challenge video that was posted after enlistment, which is dated Dec, 24 2023. He and most people enlisted would be on break during that time. Not to mention, the song playing in the video is Exo - The First Snow which was released in 2013. The other dance challenges which were promoting his songs go from Oct 29, 2022 and back. He enlisted Dec 5, 2022. Other than that, there aren't any dance videos posted after his enlistment that feature songs released when he was away, and the only one posted during enlistment didn't violate any rules because it was during break.
But please, if there's a video from his official account during his enlistment that I haven't seen, by all means, share it here. I'd love to see it.
3) In regards to the nose job that everyone's fussing over. It's well known that he has had problems with rhinitis. It's very possible that he had surgery to help alleviate any issues that could make his rhinitis worse. Having to go in for a surgical procedure while enlisted isn't breaking any rules, especially if the recovery isn't going to get in the way of the person's enlistment duties. In S Korea, it's common for doctors to perform touch-ups on an area if they're already going to be working on it. As for other idols, I fortunately can't find any medical information on them. Which I believe is a good thing, because it's none of our business. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if someone leaked your medical history, so let's extend that to idols as well shall we.
As for trying to compare him to Hyuna and bringing up his thirst traps, etc as a gotcha, bffr with that. The backlash Hyuna has received is due to the man she decided to associate herself with while in a country that has had to deal with sexual content (both consensual and non) being shared non-consensually at an extreme level. Announcing that you're marrying a guy who admitted to watching a video that was shared without the woman's consent, while claiming to be a feminist isn’t exactly a good look and image is everything there. You also seem to forget that S Korea is incredibly misogynistic. A female idol will get crucified for doing something that a male idol can get away with. Example: Hwasa of Mamamoo being sued for "alleged public indecency" for a dance move where she had her legs spread open, licked her fingers and then ran them over her shorts. Meanwhile, male idols can grab their crotch or do hip thrusts on stage and they don't receive nearly the same level of backlash if they receive any at all.
Have a super day!
