Surely this isn’t another gay role?! I thought it was going to be straight jock but clearly with a very comic element.. I mean, I genuinely wonder at what moment his character was going to come out during Cinderella, he played the campest Prince I’ve ever seen! But ultimately, the character was (doubtfully) straight

Those guys gained followers from playing a gay character tho. Their audience is into that. All of Nicholas' followers are from him playing a straight military guy. We'll just have to see how they respond to him making out with a guy
Given the theme and tone of the movie, it would not at all be surprising if his character turns out to be gay in a comedic twist. Not sure I really like that as a stereotype of the typical homophobic jock, since it implies that homophobes are never truly straight (which is total bullshit). I wonder if he might be gay. There was one picture buried in a photo drop on his Instagram where he was posing casually in a picture that didn’t seem to be intentional and it was him laying on his stomach with his feet up crossed, eating an apple. A pose you would see mostly women do and his RL sister commented- the most actual nick pose on here.
James Franco did a million gay people on film but he was straight pound town with half of LA. Nick does mostly gay best friend poses with girls like they are at a Taylor Swift concert, but maybe that’s his schtick and he’s a total hound?!
