The royal family is badly written in the book. I’m British, I just ignored it. It doesn’t really take anything away from the story. Yes, he isn’t really remotely in line to inherit the country but that’s not really the point of the story. The point is, what would the royal fam do if one of the main family was gay. In RWRB, the Queen is very homophobic. Who knows if that was ever true but this is a story, not real life. And it’s not that unbelieveable that the royal fam might struggle with a gay heir. They struggled with someone being mixed race so.. And beyond that, I think it’s less how would they handle it and more, how would that royal feel. It’s hard enough being gay in a regular homophobic family. Imagine being gay as a Prince. Growing up surrounded by high society, that’s let’s face, are pretty racist & homophobic!
I’ve seen comments that no-one would care if Prince Louis was gay but actually Henry isn’t the equivalent of Louis. Henry is if William & Harry had a younger brother. And I quite imagine the Daily Mail would have a LOT to say in Harry was gay!
This book reads like a Wattpad fiction.
