I'd rather have him be nonchalant with being typecast in gay roles because he has the heartthrob looks and sexy lean body most gays and girls would ogle for.. I believe he's straight though, which is what majority of the audience and his fans would prefer.
Austin could well be gay but that doesn’t make Nick gay. I’ve followed Nick since his Handsome Devil era & they’ve been best mates for years. I personally don’t get any kinda romantic or hookup vibes from them at all. They just seem like typical best bros.

Just my personal opinion. They are really bro-ish to me. Those annoying mates who think everything is hilarious. Maybe I’m wrong but Nick doesn’t really ping for me. If he wasn’t constantly playing gay characters, I’d not even remotely ponder if he was queer to be honest. Plus, as earlier up the thread, he literally called himself an ally a couple years ago.

Well, no, obviously not but those comments were a couple years ago when he really wasn’t well known or seemingly trying to create an image of himself. I could be wrong but would you take multiple gay roles if you were trying to stay closeted?! Surely you’d avoid them like the plague to avoid this exact type of speculation? He’s either completely secure in himself & his straightness or potentially he is gay/bi and not actually trying to really hide it.
There’s obviously nothing wrong with him being gay but surely you aware of why actors stay closeted? It unfortunately probably would work in his favour career wise if he is indeed straight & just playing gay. He’s a very handsome guy, most of his fans are female. It’s not hard to do the maths.
