IDK but the movie is based on a real person (Nate Williams) who is a Christian. But it doesn't seem to be some kind of propaganda movie or anything. It's mostly just an uplifting inspiration story about overcoming childhood trauma. Nic could have easily been attracted to this script based on those uplifting themes and not necessarily the religious aspect.

It should be noted, this movie premiered at the Heartland International Film Festival in October of 2023.

It was only recently picked up by Angel Studios in late 2024 for distribution, to release later this month, January 2025. So no one involved in the production of this film, knew it would eventually be an Angel Studios movie
