Oliver jackson-cohen

I don't think it's explicitly stated, but his Lord Cassidy character in Mr. Malcom's List is quite certainly gay.

One to watch lol. I caught Wilderness last year on Amazon but I didn't care for it. Oliver and Jenna were great but the material sucked.

The scenes in Orange Shirt were hot! Shame he’s not gay irl haha

As far as I know, Oliver asked the director to make his character gay but she refused. Still it didn't make him any less gay

Good for him, lol. Hope that means he plays another gay character soon.

I know he's going to be the BBC adaptation for Towards Zero, which will likely air over the Christmas.

He filmed a movie a while back called The World Will Tremble about survivors from a Nazi prison camp. It's still yet to be released.

He was also in a Cartier ad called Destinee that was directed by Luca Guadagnino back in 2012, so if the latter wants to get him for a queer led movie, here's hoping, right?

The Cartier ad lol

He's also not returning for the second season of Surface, which is probably a good thing. It seemed like no one watched that show.

Hoping he reunites with Mike Flanagan (who got his best work out of him with Hill House and Bly Manor) for either the latter's Exorcist movie or Carrie show for Amazon or something else altogether.

I think he'd make a great John Constantine for the DCU tbh.

I think Luca's into blonds now.

He’s definitely in Surface season 2- wrapped up filming of April this year. Was also at the wrap party for it.

But agreed the show was mediocre and isn’t doing anything for his career.

Both Surface and Wilderness were not great for him. He's gotta get away from the dodgy/toxic love interest roles.

Towards Zero should be on the BBC around Christmas or New Year and hopefully The World Will Tremble (which is a lead role) will get a release date soon.

He was also great as a lead in this years release movie Jackdaw (currently streaming on Netflix UK). The movie wasn’t some masterpiece but he got good reviews for his acting. He’s definitely being more thoughtful in picking his roles.

In an interview earlier this year while promoting Jackdaw he jokingly mentions that post April when he’s done wrapping up a project (I.e. Surface season 2) he needs a job. I think Towards Zero came about in May. But times are tough out there for these wonderful character actors no matter how good they are. With all the studios and production houses being acquired and budget cuts number of shows and acting parts have dramatically decreased. Deadline did a great article on number of acting roles being diminished and how many working actors and behind the scene production workers are being sidelined into finding other streams of income/careers.

Apologies for the tangent
