Literally none of them are DRM. I even took a screenshot of one of his most recent ones to make sure and it shows up completely normal. Why do you think he has DRM on?

There’s also only nine total videos that have even been posted since DRM became a thing. Even if you were right there would still be a ton on his page that can’t possibly have it.

It’s complicated geeky technical stuff, but I can confirm it works. I had somebody help out with it, and the videos played fine after download.

That said, DRM is really a pain! I can somehow understand why Netflix would have it in place, but OnlyFans? DRM only truly hurts those like us willing to support content creators. Those (the majority) who would never pay for such content will simply look for free stuff and not be bothered by it. As for JustForFans, downloading is still possible via the playlist method.


Also… Brace yourselves! Tons of content creators (in comments and likes) bashing, raging and freaking out at paying consumers like us who wish to download for our own private use only. Terrible! They really believe it’s only all a rental to only be streamed straight from the site, even if it’s an expensive PPV or custom video.

The OP is quite foul, I find, exposing and bashing "a loyal and kind fan since day one, always tipping generously" in such crude manner. Here's the thread.

I find viewing the scenes in one’s own media player more practical if I truly like the scene and want to view certain parts in a loop, resize the player and have other media on the screen at the same time, etc.

I don’t really hold any of this against that creator. We may not like it but downloading is against OF’s policy and creators do have the right to want their content kept to themselves. They’re within bounds to be saying what they’re saying here and, loyal or not, this fan was frankly an idiot outright asking for permission to do something that is against the site’s rules. I don’t know what he expected.

DRM is bad and we need to make it clear to creators that it’s a problem, but the reason we need to be explaining is that it negatively affects users who are not downloading anything. Videos play in bad quality (or not at all) and can’t be mirrored to another monitor, which is a massive hit to the user experience for people who are following all of the rules and just trying to watch the content they subscribed to. This is what we need to be explaining to creators, the fact that this setting is a blanket punishment to all of their fans regardless of whether they’re downloading or not. If they know that and still decide to keep DRM on, it’s their right to make that decision, just like it’s our right to not subscribe because of it.

16. Do not reproduce, print, distribute, attempt to download, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store or transmit any Content, except as permitted under the Terms of Service.

That user did ask for permission. From what I understand, it is officially permissible if authorization is given, and that user (a big tipper) very politely asked the content creator if they’d be okay with allowing them to download content they are paying for. Depending on how the content creator responded, that person may not be a fan of theirs anymore. Way to lose such a kind and great fan!

You’ll notice most studio websites do allow their members to download for their own personal use, and the models of those sites are okay with that.

My advice would be to simply discreetly use one of the scraping methods above to bypass DRM *or* just boycott all those models who have DRM on—then maybe some of those will allow downloads.

Adult models who choose DRM basically want to be porn stars, sell content that may sometimes be pricey (up to $29,99 per month or more, overpriced PPV) but at the same time want all of that material to remain a rental meant for consumption on the portal only with all the buffering that may sometimes occur and the impossibility to view it offline or play it on one's giant TV screen.

I get they don’t want pirates to resell their content, upload it on tubes and illegal download sites without their permission, but I find them selfish to expect to collect all that amazing money from their fans and not ever allowing them to own anything at all! But as you said, it’s their right to make that decision, just like it is our right not to subscribe because of it.

I’ve seen Reddit threads like that on PPV and it seems like creators who have either of those on do not care about their subscribers. Like that one creator who compared it to Netflix. You don’t pay a subscription fee for Netflix and then pay for every single episode of a show. I wish they’d be more transparent about saying it’s just a cash grab because I can understand that. The economy’s bad and you gotta do what you gotta do. However there’s better sites to do this PPV stuff with like manyvids or clips4sale.

They’re purposely using onlyfans because there’s no preview, no way to refund subscribers who aren’t happy with the content, and everything is stacked in favor of the content creators because they’re bringing in the money.

I’m not against PPV if I think the content is worth it, but most of the time, it’s from someone who just joined OF with no idea how to film or shoot their videos. They’re usually charging $20-30 for a POV video of cumshot.

The creators who actually send a preview and order their videos and charge around $3-6 for 5 minute videos, I’m more likely going to buy (or send them a tip).

These vague “what you’ve been waiting for ” descriptions are despicable and definitely scams. It’s what a lot of creators do and it’s unfort

He does not use DRM. He will send out early release as a PPV - but those will always be posted to his main feed 3-4 weeks later. You're welcome.

Unlike a studio site, there is no official, clearly legal method of saving content from the site. So even if you did have permission, you still have to use software specifically meant for piracy, which you don’t have a clear okay from Onlyfans to be using. Even if a creator really were okay with you doing it, you can imagine why they may not want a paper trail pushing you to do so.

I completely agree that many (not all) of the creators I’ve seen using PPV and DRM do seem to not care about their audience and that a ton of models in general are scummy and narcissistic, and I do think that to some degree we should be able to download content like on a studio site. But I’ll put it this way:

It’s incredibly fucking stupid that marijuana is still illegal in many places. We know it’s completely harmless yet people get arrested for it. That said, you don’t walk up to a cop and say “hey man, I know this is illegal and all but it really shouldn’t be and I’m a good law abiding citizen otherwise so you won’t mind if I just light this up right here do you?”

That’s effectively what this fan was doing. Like bro, it doesn’t matter how politely you ask or how much money you’ve tipped, you’re not getting special treatment. You can request they change the DRM setting, sure, but they cannot make exceptions just for you and they cannot change Onlyfans’ official policies. I support bringing this to creators’ attention but I’m just saying we gotta do it with more class than that.

I agree with that. Don't tell people, "hey I'm downloading all your content"; keep it to yourself. Onlyfans is very contradictory with their on ToS, too. They'll remove videos without everyone involved tagged in some way, but not all of the videos. Same with "wavesports" videos which they banned a couple years ago. They also have rules against public nudity and sex, but there's MANY pages dedicated to that.

All the creators (who are caught and get their content taken down) only get a warning. But let a subscriber try to get a chargeback on a video they can no longer access, it's an instant ban.
