I hate DRM but respect the creator to protect their hard earned product.
Fair enough—as long as potential subscribers get to know in advance if DRM is enabled or not, and for now, unless they visit this thread of this forum, they will not know! Some OF portals have it enabled, and some have it disabled—impossible to know in advance just by taking a look at the model's page.

We'd have more respect for their decision if OF (or the model in the page's intro) let us know in advance if DRM is enabled. How can we truly respect that decision when it is hidden from us? It's only after paying the subscription fee (unless there's no subscription fee or it's a free trial) that we find out that a certain page has DRM enabled.

Note: One may argue that creators may not want people to know in advance so they do not lose potential subscribers... In that case, that's plain dishonesty.

As for the protection aspect, it's mostly protection from those who share it online for all to view for free (incl. those who share full scenes on here). The vast majority of those who pay for a subscription would not want it all available to everybody for free.

yes... I totally agree and have no rebuttal on your points.
But sometimes you have to chance it if there is no reviews.... i have been burned 1/2 dozen times before i started exploring through LPSg. However, They were like $3-$8 here and there. I just am saying that porn is a luxury and entertainment., so why would someone pay more than $10 without visiting this site.....lol

Also, It seems the issue is that for some the DRM makes the videos unwatchable. I just cannot relate to that but am sympathetic. Don't get me wrong. I love this thread!

Not to mention, creators can hide the duration of their videos and not disclose that every video is a PPV. There’s no way of knowing this beforehand unless they have post descriptions on or it’s in their profile!
The PPV model and agency-run page has become so common that it has run the site way beyond the grave when you add on the past deceptive advertising and tactics they utilize.

But that's not really the case. The websites that make a profit off of resharing creators' content are not hindered by DRM. They have software to remove the DRM and repost the videos like the always have done. It's the individual purchasers who now have to deal with the replay limitations of DRM that are impacted.

Guys the conversation is moving away from being informative to complaining about something we have no control over.....lol This thread is necessary to protect the consumer, yes? But complaining about a creator's DRM decision is pointless.

I have a feeling that many content creators are aware of those websites because it brings them traffic. They can Google, too. And many definitely monitor this website [hence the do not post list!] a personal website does not have that "pull." Also, it's about "sue" potential. It is easier to sue a massive platform than an individual who 99% of the time is broke.....lol

Let's just inform each other on how to download for personal use and share a "taste" of the content creator to show admiration but respect when they make it clear [Do not post list.] They also need to respect us when we say that they are "doing too much.":joy::joy::joy::joy:

Also just a pro tip for a workaround that at least works for wall videos if you don’t want to pay for one of the DRM workarounds like YT Saver. But if you set up to have OF profiles you sub to imported to Coomer.su their ripper gets DRM stuff too. Just doesn’t work for DMs and it seems like their ripper skips pinned posts.

Easy way to get the vids for yourself and makes the content available for others as well.

Thank you. I don't know why this point is so hard for people to understand.

Explain please. How do You "set up" to have Your OF subscriptions imported to that site?

For me... if the price is cheap and I really love the content creator, then no need to download. I hope you understand my perspective, now that I understand yours

That's all fine & dandy.......until 1) either that creator or OnlyFans randomly decides to remove a clip that you paid $50/$60/$70 plus dollars for. Or worse, 2) the custom content you purchased for $300 plus dollars somehow gets removed. Or 3) some scamming content creator decides to block you because you called them on their BS, so you lose access to all the content you've purchased from them. Or even worse yet, 4) OnlyFans opts to delete the whole page & DMs of a creator account you frequent, so you lose access to all the content you've purchased from them for hundreds of dollars. All of the above have happened to me at different times.

We aren't all downloading content (THAT WE PAID FOR) to share it. Some of us just want to protect the investment that we made for our own personal use.

Hey, my friend, I was giving another [perspective. I completely understand respect why you get frustrated. This is a very informative thread.

I'm sorry you had to experience such losses and deception several times!

1. I'd never pay that much for a clip. Also, $12.50 is the maximal monthly amount I'd pay for any type of OF/JFF type of portal. (Keep in mind that a bank fee or a gas fee [on JFF] or sales tax [on OF] may be added to the monthly fee.)

For instance, Ben Fisher (X, OF) charges $19.95 per month (he's currently running a 30% off special for 31 days). Technically, models can set such a price, but I think it's too much for a "personal, homemade or amateur" portal.

Men.com (includes some Bromo and WhyNotBi content) costs me $8.94 (sales tax included) per month. It's a lifetime special I got. It's streaming only, but its DRM is not rigid.

SeanCody.com costs me $19.94 (sales tax included) per month. It's also a lifetime special I got. It's streaming only, but its DRM is not rigid.

Falcon Studios (includes Hot House + some Naked Sword and Raging Stallion content) costs me $17.19 (sales tax included) per month. It's also a lifetime special I got. Streaming + downloads.

Raw Alpha Male costs me $7.95 (no sales tax) per month. It's also a lifetime special I got. Streaming + downloads.

Lucas Entertainment (includes Lucas Raunch and Sex In Suits) costs me $10 (no sales tax) per month. It's also a lifetime special I got. Streaming + downloads.

BrokeStraightBoys (includes CollegeBoyPhysicals) costs me $9.95 (no sales tax) per month. It's also a lifetime special I got. Streaming + downloads.

As you can see, some of those models charge even more than some studios.

2. I'd pay a bigger fee for custom content, but for $300, I'd need to be able to select scene partners and co-direct the scene.

3. I once got that from a model just for responding to another fan of his on X. I simply told the fan that one of his portals was no longer updated, and the model lost it on me publicly!

4. Yeah. OnlyFans may suspend or delete models accounts. Purchased content should still be made available, but they might deem said content objectionable for whatever reason. Also, from their Terms of Service: "We may change, suspend, or deactivate OnlyFans: We may change OnlyFans from time to time for any reason. We do not guarantee that OnlyFans, or its Content, will always be available or accessible without interruption. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict the availability of any part of OnlyFans."

And this is exactly why DRM is unacceptable.

Well, the fact that OF gives a disclaimer makes it acceptable. Listen. No one has said we must like it, but it is legal. It is called copyright. A few people make the same analogy to paid streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Same thing. Just because it is porn does not mean it is not a product to be protected.
1. we decide what we are willing to pay for.
2. this wonderful thread helps us know what we are willing to pay for
3. let's continue to keep each other informed, so each of us can make that adult decision.
4. let's help each other with workarounds
Regardless, DRM is here to stay :joy: :joy: :joy:
