I've been working with male models for 20 years now. In my experience models raise their when their income stream diminishes. It's like failing restaurants raising the price of their food. Few people will pay high prices. I try to convince them to lower their rates. One fairly well known creator doubled his fan numbers by lowering his monthly rate to $5. The guys doing well now are affordable, consistent, and personable. The competition on OF now is off the charts. One model may think he's the hottest thing on OF, but hundreds of other feel the same way. I can tell how a model will do by how he prices his content and whether he adds a personal touch by communicating with his fans.
What do you think about OF creators who have in their bio “I only respond to messages on OnlyFans”?
I have seen this more lately and the way I look at it is, they want the person who wants to interact with the creator to fork over a minimum of a one month subscription before the creator will read, and hopefully respond.
Not 100% sure, I think the first account I saw it on was Cain Marko. If the creator only communicates on a site you have to pay to get an interaction, that is most likely one I won’t be subbing.

Some OF bodybuilders I’ll keep tabs on because I look forward to seeing their progress, but overall I’m over spending the money lots of creators on OF are asking for.
You know, I’ve thought this very thing, and it does seem that way. The guys who chat with you (and you know it’s them, not an account sending dozens of auto messages), with decent rates, who post often, and are open to all sorts of input and suggestions are honestly the best quality guys.
Models believe that if they charge more, they’ll make more. In a way that isn’t wrong, but it’s not entirely right. Like you said, few people can afford high prices, or are willing to pay them. If they charge “common-man” rates and make more content, people will be more likely to spend more money, and not just on one video but on multiple videos.
Yeah I haven't subbed consistently to any OF model in maybe 2 years tbh. It was bad enough then, seems like it is worse now

It's pure greed. I have unsubbed to all but 1 OF guys I was subbed to because of it. Every single one raised their sub fee $3-9 and I refuse to pay it. They are greedy and think people will pay their ridiculous prices then they run "BIG SALES" including % off subscription pricing lmao. Even if they do their BIG 50% off sale,they are still making a great deal than you or I yearly because their focus is on "older and/or single" men because they think those are the most thirsty.
I have a buddy that is an OF "model" and he actually said that "You go after and befriend the older guys because they will pay out of desperation. You HAVE to lure them in"...I was disgusted by the way he said he lures people in and they actually will pay big money for a sexy nude pic lol.
In other words he admitted to scamming people too but does it in a way that it's never noticed. Don't even get me started on what he says "the guys" do about automatic renewals

The Gays (and others, but broadly us lot) have money to burn. Businesses know this, brands know this, and porn stars know this more than most.
i think this is the biggest factor driving increasing prices on OF - lots of folks who started creating and thought it would be easy money, and it's just not - i think for a lot of folks they heard about this or that person making a ton of money, or they think it's not hard to make a video of themselves jerking off or whatever - then they realize that there are tons of other people out there, and it's work to get yourself noticed, and work to perform for a camera on a regular basis when sometimes you don't want to - it's work, not easy money, and for folks who were hoping it would be easy, they think raising prices will make them seem like they have some sort of higher value, and they can get more money for the same number of subscribers - it's not a great strategy for longevity or building an audience, but it might get you a brief injection of cash that will make you think you're doing ok
unfortunately, the large number of folks who are overcharging, underdelivering, obfuscating, and blowing through goodwill and leaps of faith make it more difficult for those of us who work fucking hard to produce something we can be proud of and that people can enjoy, and feel is a good value - i'm saying this as someone who has been running his own site for nearly 11 years - since before OF was a thing - and speaking from my own experience
This is old news but a couple of years ago Cody Deal was getting way too proud of his content. His fans rebelled and someone convinced him to just try lowering his rates. His membership doubled in a couple of months. To his credit, he was the first to admit he was wrong. Unfortunately, for us mortals, we live in a world with lots of guys for whom $50 is nothing. Maybe we should open a non-profit for emergency porn aid.

A lot of the complaints I’ve seen on here are being made into policies.
For example:
Now it’s common knowledge that creators have people operating their accounts for them, creators can also delete content you paid for at anytime, and you’ll get your account deleted if you do a chargeback without contacting them first.
But anyone should know by now that once you’ve been scammed on OF that money is long gone lol

Pretty much, they would rather just bury bad behavior than hold scammers accountable and build a solid relationship with customers.
Because in the end, the scammers make them more money.
I paid for a sub that didn't have anything they advertised, messaged support for my money back, and they literally just told me I'm shit out of luck and that they aren't responsible lol.
