This is what I suspected. Making the entirety or almost entirety of the content available for the subscription price alone may not profitable enough for some content creators. That may be because of all the fees (incl. transportation and accommodation) required to make that content. And I guess that the PPV model is allowing them to make a return on investment despite losing some subscribers in the process.

But then again, some other popular creators such as Jonah Wheeler, Romeo Davis, Manuel Skye, Nate Stetson, Leander or Justin the Jock have no or only occasional PPV/presale and seem to still have a sustainable business model.

I don’t understand how Michael Tempesta and DanTheestud and other creators in LA have regular collabs and charge NO PPV but he does. Most people aren’t interested in a whole 20-30 minute production; they just want to get their nut and go.

At those prices, he’d be better off paying a hosting site and putting them up on his own subscription based website. I definitely look at him differently now because of that price gouging.

And his weird fake BFE messages when I said I’m not buying his PPV was so weird. Couldn’t he spend that time editing or filming?

High priced PPVs are typically a sign of agency involvement, hence the weird BFE messages. But you're right. Plenty of creators create high quality content on their sub fee alone. And even some who do charge for PPVs don't charge extreme rates for them. The fact that they get ANYONE to pay them is indicative of why content on OF hasn't evolved much and you have so many lazy or lackluster creators pulling in significant sums that don't motivate them to upgrade their material, posting frequency, etc. Far too many simps who will pay for anything if it feeds their delusion of "being" with a particular creator.

I found Harry Jowsey's OF to be really disappointing. Paid to unlock some content but it was G-rated at best.

Ronezy (@itsmeronezy) isn't worth it. I subscribed for a month and nothing new was posted in that time. The content was the mostly same as what he had already posted on Twitter/X (@RONEZY_). He's just not active enough for it to be worthwhile.

100 percent! And that's exactly why they let agencies persist. Only a small percentage of subscribers catch on. The rest are desperately lonely, overly horny simps who delude themselves into thinking even some straight guys actually wants them (a man) sight unseen. So they pay $20 for two pics, then $40 for another two pics, $60 for a 9 sec video, and so on. And those numbers are generous, they've tried to get me for $ 100 that first round; who knows how high it actually goes up. It adds up to big money for the "creator" and for OF. I can't imagine how those prices are worth it. Speaking frankly, if they can pay what these guys want them to pay on the regular, they can get more "in person action" or at least hop onto a cam site where they definitely know who they're talking to and can direct the action.

Exactly and I'll go one further. They allow creators to disable comments as well. It's a BIG red flag for me when I see a creator who has disabled their comments. They should show the posts without showing the content (for non subs) and not allow them to disable comments. There are some subs out there who don't mind calling out shitty creators to their virtual face.
