OnlyFans videos now defaulting to DRM/streaming

Since most OF guys advertise via Twitter, I think everyone should start asking them underneath their Twitter previews if their Onlyfans has DRM turned off, and let them know that that's the only way you're willing to join. And ask them publicly so that if/when they answer EVERYONE can see their response. They need to know that they're losing potential customers by having it turned on.

I've also started thanking guys for NOT using DRM whenever I join their OF and happily find it disabled--and I let them know it means I'll be resubbing. On the contrary, if I join and find that a guy *is* using DRM (which isn't happening much anymore because I'm no longer willing to join without knowing beforehand unless it's super cheap) then I'll let him know that I'm unsubscribing immediately and it's because he's using DRM. Some guys I think truly don't know they have it turned on and/or they don't realize the playback issues it's creating for a lot of their subscribers. They just think they're "protecting" their content which is likely how OF has pitched it to them.

I never thought about thanking the guys that don’t have it, I like that. I definitely would but it’s very rare I stay longer than a month unless I’m getting a custom video from someone. So I wouldn’t really have much of a way of showing my appreciation. Aside from just verbally saying it. Id feel like trash unsubbing after complimenting them on it :( But yea I’ve been thinking about asking people if they have it or not. May start doing it soon.

Well without verbalizing it to them, many don't know that DRM matters to us one way or the other. By telling them, now they know. And I do the same thing--I'll subscribe for a month and then take some months off before I come back again (once they've uploaded enough new content to warrant a re-sub). Like people were saying earlier: Onlyfans ain't Netflix. But I'm NEVER going to resub in the future to any guy who's using DRM. Also you don't necessarily have to unsub to a guy immediately...you have 30 days in which to do that. So you can thank them for not using DRM immediately upon joining and then unsub some days or weeks later and by then you're not even on their radar anymore :joy: It's not untrue though--I will be resubbing to them in the future. Just not the immediate future.

Lmaoo yea I do that all the time Lmaoo. To funny. It’s only with the creators I get close to. Where I’m like I’ll be back soon or next month & it’s months later if even that I’ll resub by then I’m like a distant memory. Also I may mute them just for my anxiety sakes. If I don’t want them to send me anything if I unsubscribe. Sometimes they beg. I usually wait the week of or day before I unsubscribe to someone before renew. Sometimes I cut it to close & forget & it renews. only people with DRM, if I subbed before, or if their content is trash I can feel comfortable immediately unsubbing.

Just wait until the crash happens. These Onlyfans bitches will be begging for us to come back. They've gotten way too spoiled and comfortable with their absurd PPV prices and other scams. A nice, deep recession is just what the doctor ordered.

I also dont think the title of this thread is accurate, there are still many creators with it off so it doesn't seem that it is being turned on proactively by OF. I think it is more likely an easy excuse to try to blame OF when someone calls out a creator about it, "wasn't me, must have been them."
So, in my opinion it seems like some accounts were automatically set to DRM and others are not...it's OFs, I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case, they haven't been the most consistent site. When I let some the creators know a lot of them are like "what are you talking about" and have to explain it to them that there is a setting you can turn off. Those that didn't know about 90% says they will turn it off and have.

I don’t claim that. Last thing we need is a deeper recession in todays economy. Inflation & everything is hard enough as it is. Everything rising while wages are staying the same it’s ridiculous. I don’t have issue with people selling ass for cash. As I enjoy paying for customs from creators & I enjoy paying for content by creators. Not all creators are assholes. In fact most aren’t in my experience & I’d know. I’ve subscribed to over 260 Creators. I do not believe all should suffer for the few ass holes. And a lot aren’t making as much as you’d think. But I don’t know just feel we shouldn’t make assumptions. I say who cares if a creator had DRM on by default or not. Long as they’re willing to take it off. They may not have known it’d affect their videos for their fans as much as it does despite the warning.

one thing i did notice though before i unsubbed and disabled my onlyfans is that for those with drm on, videos prior to its launch (before june i believe) should still load and play as usual. so like if you are in this situation, rip those videos (i mean its really the only option we got at this point) so you don't lose out on your sub. its so infuriating to use that site since they launched this drm feature because like some say, videos don't even load anymore. and if i am subscribing only to view pictures, i might as well just follow their twitter for free as most use that to promote their of anyway and more likely post pics there.

It’s only videos before May. May was the month that this started. So if someone had DRM by default beat you can do is skip to the videos they have before May 1st & enjoy those until your subscription is up. You can even download those if you want.

I noticed some are claiming all there content got "randomly deleted" and probably just reupping with DRM enabled.
I feel like that’s a smaller percentage of a small percents. Very few creators would go through that far of a length to do that. The best tip for this scenario is finding someone who has hundreds of videos to sub too. That even more so will all but guarantee that a good majority of their vids are before May. It’d be hell for them to reupload them and also they may not want to reupload them and delete because 1 if the videos are downloaded they are already downloaded out there and 2 it could subtract likes from their page. And a lot of these creators actually care about their likes. And a sum of their best most liked post are the past ones. Theres more odds in the favor of the videos not being touched on most creators. Of course there may be a few the ones that have small amounts of videos perhaps. But it’s a smaller minority if you know what to look for. Like I subbed to Chris Stewart recently all of his vids from May to present are DRM. But the guy has 257 vids. He’s not about to go back and delete all of them to reupload them. And he hasn’t since I’ve been subscribed reuploaded any. Only new content and that’s been all of the creators I’ve subscribed to that had DRM not some. And I’m positive I’ve subscribed to more people than the average OF consumer. And on that same note I’ll say I’ve subbed to new OF accounts who’ve started after may & they don’t have DRM on. So it’s just a probability/percentage game.

Not sure if anyone noticed but the last browser to let you DL vids and pix from OF just stopped working (firefox) does anyone have another suggestion on browsers that still allow you to DL stuff from OF ?????
I still use google chrome, with the “enable right click” extension.

I can still download non-DRM OF vids via Firefox using this trick I found on Reddit:
