OnlyFans videos now defaulting to DRM/streaming

we should just tighten our purse strings for a month or two and literally not subscribe to anyone anymore. onlyfans won't do anything if consumers complain but once creators start seeing their income reduce (especially since we can't even download customs that we paid so much money for ??!) only then will they revert back (hopefully).
Aye, this thread explains why I haven't been able to download stuff. Welp, looks like OF will be losing my business.
Onlyfans would not do anything with the scammers that charge so much for a 10 second video but they'll implement this shit that no one asks for.
You know… I don’t share stuff but every time I click rewind on the site, the video takes three minutes to load… so downloading is easier.

I don't think this is on by default as most creators that I subscribe are same as usual but I am starting to see it more and more. I'm just ending my subscriptions when a creator turns it on. My biggest issue is the inability to stream from my phone to my TV from the OF site when DRM is on. I am not paying for content that I cant watch on a larger screen.
More and more of them are catching up unfortunately. I think they can just turn it on or off but they chose to turn it on which is so shady. I tried some software that can grab and download it but when it does download and you play it nothing appears on the video it's just a blank screen. Anyone know an extension/program on how to make the video appear?

i know there are ways to screen record but this is assuming everyone has good internet and the actual streaming is smooth. i followed a creator that turned it on and it rendered all videos completely unplayable unless i chose the 240p option. so yeah there's just no way. it's so frustrating. and like others have mentioned, some would like to watch long videos on their tv which isn't even possible to do anymore. i hope creators, hence onlyfans see a hit to their bottom line sooner rather than later because at this point onlyfans isn't it anymore.
I've contacted two creators I subscribe to whose videos suddenly turned to streaming files recently.
They had no idea about the change. They were not informed about it by OnlyFans.
I explained, politely, that the change to DRM streaming video was having a negative impact on video quality and playback, and would likely cause me to drop my subscription, unfortunately.
Both creators were totally happy to turn it off, so the videos on their pages returned to being regular video files.
I've also seen other creators I follow post that they've been informed by their fans about this, and have also turned off DRM to accommodate fan requests.
Most creators I've encountered seem very reasonable about this.

I wish the creators I contacted bothered responding.
I've noticed that lots of OF guys lately seem to have their DMs answered either by AI chatbots or by people in some other country who must be paid to write the replies.
I've encountered multiple creators in the last couple of months whose DM chats with me make absolutely no sense and are in broken, barely intelligible English.
I cancel subscriptions to any accounts where the DM replies clearly are not real.
The number of guys who actually reply to DMs in person is dwindling.

Can we start compiling a list of guys that HAVE turned off the DRM stuff? Now that I've let go of some subscriptions, I'd like to support some guys that don't have the DRM turned on.
this DRM shit doesnt sound like the best method of preventing piracy, there has to be another way
yeah, if OF keeps doing stuff like this then it'll be as assbackwards as youtube is these days lol
