Open showers in London - list of venues to show off

Dont know if you guys are aware, but pretty much all Everyone Active gym (which Porchester Spa is a part off…) have open showers. Most of them two locker-rooms and two open showers - wet locker for the pool and a dry one for the gym.

Re PORCHESTER< I go the couple of times a week. Always naked. This place can be so different, all depending on time/day. Men only days: MON, WED, SAT.
Which Everyone Active gym would you recommend, that definitely has open showers and saunas/steam, spa?

Re Porchester Spa -
I went for the first time on Saturday at 10am. It was a day strictly for the fellas.
I loved the whole history of the place and the fact that you could choose a gender segregated day. I had enquired in advance and also read comments online re the whole clothing optional thing, as I prefer to be naked as per experiences in Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland and Japan.
At first I wore swim shorts, but found it hard to really relax and feel at ease. So I got rid of the shorts and wasn’t alone, although I was still in the minority. I just used my towel for modesty sake.
I enjoyed my time there and used all that was available, although the rear steam room was overly dominated by ‘the regulars’ - who seemed to spend their whole session giving each other traditional Turkish massages and chatting.
I had such a relaxing time that I decided to return today at 10am. All was as it was last time, but I think I was pretty much the only one who chose to go naked (unless the other patrons were showering or changing).
I didn’t feel uncomfortable until right at the end of my session, when a ‘regular’ in the rear steam room basically told me to cover up (‘put on shorts or wear a towel’) in front of his fellow regulars. I left the room immediately. I imagine that they thought I was German or Scandinavian and that I was not used to how things were at the Porchester Spa!
I also left the facility soon after, dumbfounded at being told by that my conduct - being naked on ‘men only day’ - was considered inappropriate.
I probably should have booked a later time of day, but regardless - I won’t be back!

Turns out with the Classpass free trial you can only buy day passes for each establishment once. Was hoping to get back to Nuffield Health City on the 16th but it's not gonna happen! :pensive:

I'm tempted to head back to the Covent Garden one. I feel like it's the best option of the central ones with City now out of my reach. Anyone know if it still has open showers? I'd love to do Battersea, why couldn't they include that on Classpass?! Dying to get back there!

Anyone know if Shoreditch or Canary Wharf have similar set ups with sauna/steam in the mens changing rooms?
Canary Wharf does. Shoreditch doesn’t.

If someone told me to 'cover' up on a men only day there where full nudity is totally acceptable in the rules, I'd say mind your own business....and if he persisted, report him to the staff. He's just being a rude jerk.

I felt so uncomfortable being chastised in front of others to be honest, that I was just happy to call it a day.
Give me the openness of a German wellness centre any day :)

I've never understood the "hygiene" excuse a lot of places in the UK use to try and get you to wear shorts in steam rooms and saunas, can they not just call a spade a spade and admit that we're a prudish country? :joy:

No. I had hung up my towel on a hook outside the steam room largely used by ‘the regulars’ and then entered naked. It was my intention to spend just a few minutes in there and then move on.

Next time ask him if he’s so offended by the sight of another man’s dick, then why is he hanging out in a men only steam room rubbing his naked mates
