He's been on record saying it's just for theatrics, he really doesn't care who sees his actual face or knows his real identity.

He was a regular unsuccessful musician before, so the team behind him came up with the mask thing to make him appeal more interesting to the market. If you google a bit, you can find his real face prior to this whole publicity stunt.

I wouldn't necessarily call him unsuccessful. Music sales are different in Canada than US/Europe.

To me, it is another example of an artist (formally in a band) doing the music they love, rather than doing what is expected of them. Although he has more popularity and visibility now, it's not like the solo albums have gone platinum. He's doing well, and I hope he continues to gain popularity.

And as for the face, I'd fuck him with or without the mask. There is nothing wrong with adding a little costume/flair to a music performance.

There was an account on insta (I think they were called orvillepeckspain but their acc is gone) who was sharing a lot of personal recent photos of him without his mask through dms. Apparently they knew someone who was friends with orville and had them send photos to their acc. Orville found out and so did a lot of other fan accs and started calling them out. They posted an apology and then disappeared.

I haven't seen any of the photos but they are real. And because Orville found out I'm sure he'll be a lot more careful in his personal life. Pretty shitty situation
