are you referring to the language China adopted for there entire country,whenever that was

My apologies, I should have been more specific.

Yes, the NaXi written form is not the same as the language Chinese adopted (subsequently evolved to its present form) some 2200 years ago.

The NaXi script is still very much a pictorial form. Present day Chinese have some words (not all) that originated from a picture and slowly evolved to its present stylised form.

i did go to my fathers village with him in the late 70s
the modern home he had built was in his village in Canton/Kwangchow, Soiuth China

They have their own language and culture. Their native tongue is totally different from Chinese Mandarin.

My ancestors originate from a town near Canton (present day Guangzhou in the Province of Guangdong). I am proficient in Cantonese. However, I admit my swearing in Cantonese is not quite up to par with the locals from Guangzhou!

both Gs you mention are very familiar,as to when i was there
my father comes from Naam Tsuen,the Joe family/not Cho
the names/areas change often,and NT is only the English name my Chinese nephew gave to this village
i do not know the real/full Chinese name

i am also familiar with our Cantonese language compared to the govt authorities adopting the Northern Peking/Mandartin language as being the universal country language,i believe/was told

only take whats necessary for them to eat

last thing any of us want,is some bastard commercial corporate like NESTLE
RAPING/desecrating the areas for profit/selish gain huh
bad enough that minnow individuals will do it

councils will likely do nothing till its too late
society is fucked
