The "eye of fire" is such an interesting study of how people think about climate. California Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted, "The ocean is literally on fire. But yeah, sure—we can’t afford climate action." Apologists said it was just a gas leak and had nothing to do with climate: "The fire had nothing to do with warmer temperatures. It resulted from a pipeline rupture, a fairly common accident in transporting natural gas. It also had no discernible impact on the environment." Beat the Heat With These July Travel Ideas

This month very literally kicks off with a bang, whether you’re gazing up at fireworks from the street in New York, on the beach in Fort Lauderdale, at the harbor in Newport, or in any one of these cities across the country that go extra big for the 4th. 15 Ideas For Your Big Summer Vacation This Year

Remember summer vacations? Considering we just had a whole ass year snatched from us by the plague-that-shall-not-be-named, we get that you might feel a little rusty when it comes to things like planning trips, packing suitcases, and ordering an amount of drinks at the airport bar that isn’t really inappropriate. No matter where you’re at with this whole return-to-society thing—whether you’re staying close to home or reading this mid-flight to Croatia—you’re doing great.

Unforgettable Places to Visit in Puerto Rico (Besides San Juan)
San Juan is a wonder unto itself, but to truly experience Puerto Rico’s vibrant culture, get out of the comforts of the metropolitan capital and take in all the island has to offer. Road trip down the famed Pork Highway, anyone?

Why limit yourself?
