Two pics I took on Tuesday of this week. An hour and a half apart. (For the record, the afternoon of Tuesday 20th July 2021. Location; Kent, England.)

I took the first one as I had my lunch in my back garden. It had been hot with totally clear blue skies up until literally a few minutes before I took the picture. (My sweat after gardening for three hours was testament to that!) I sat down with my well-earned lunch and ice cold drink, and instantly clouds billowed like mad......and minutes later thunder boomed incessantly.

I took the second pic as I crossed the river to go to work. (M2V on the late shift as always!) The back edge of the thunderstorm that didn't even exist two hours before....View attachment 38900951

Sorry if they bore. But I'm a bit of a nature photography freak. And I'm a thunderstorm obsessive too! So I was totally and utterly in my element on Tuesday!

Thanks BD. Glad you like. We were actually on the edge of the storm - the centre was a few miles to the south-east - but I believe it's sometimes better to be on the periphery when it comes to taking thunderstorm photos.

You’re welcome. Really great photos. Ah okay, that was probably for the best. You’re right, even though I’m very attracted to thunderstorms, sometimes it’s best to watch it from a distance. Especially when it comes to photos
