The belief that heterosexual men are only homosexual men-in-waiting is preposterous. The only thing that surprises me is how ardently some gay men believe this tripe, perhaps because they cannot get turned on by other openly gay men which I find tragic.

Bingo. It is tragic, some of these people can't stomach the idea of finding a gay/bi/queer man attractive. So they have to fight to make sure they are "straight" for their little fantasies. Ridiculous.

If you want to BeLiEvE your hookups are 100% straight, then fine whatever, That's your right. But don't twist into pretzels to make reality. Just acknowledge it as fantasy and carry on. Fantasy =/= reality.

a person who is straight doesn't like other men by definition.

It's like some people are scared to be labelled bi or gay or accept they might be. which is odd if they come from a relatively more open/liberal environment.
