Pro tennis players

Why would you trust his opinion of other players when he is a punk and the Justin Bieber of tennis? Maybe those other players aren’t nice to Kyrgios or don’t get along with him because they can’t stand his obnoxious attitude and demeanor. I wouldn’t blame them. Who wants to associate themselves with a punk who is always causing trouble and doesn’t show respect to the sport because he doesn’t always put in the effort?

My thoughts exactly. He shows them no respect so he gets none in return. He's just a tosser who should be ignored.

I was just passing on info- I wasn't claiming it was Biblical verse or Constitutional law. I've heard others say Verdasco can be a snob and Nadal can be bitchy and personally- the Djokovic post match celebration is getting beyond tired! From what I've heard- many players like Nick- I think he's a douchebag, but whatever!

Many players like Nadal and Djokovic too. It’s all opinion. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one.

Whether you like him or hate him Kyrgios is certainly never boring. I miss the old days of tennis when players showed passion and personality on and off the court. spoke their minds and displayed normal human emotions. Nowadays they're all P.R. controlled robotic drones who all say and do the same thing.

I don’t find Nadal and Djokovic boring. They both show a lot of passion, imo.

He's certainly right about Djokovic. He wants to be liked so bad. You can see how much it gets under his skin when the crowd is not on his side

What is so wrong with wanting to be liked? I don’t find wanting too much to be liked to be such a bad trait. People said the same thing about Anne Hathaway, but all humans want to be liked. It’s part of being human. It goes back to when we were cave men and wanting to be liked was necessary for survival so you could stay part of the tribe. It’s instinctual. I’m not a fan of Djokovic’s post-match celebration and find it corny too. But I don’t think that makes him cringe-worthy as a person or player. If trying too hard to be liked is the worst someone can say about you, then I think you’re doing pretty good at life.

Kyrgios should be more concerned about himself and his own personality and well-being rather than publicly attacking those who have never said anything bad about him. Only deeply insecure, troubled people lash out at others like he does. Those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

This is ironic because when Djokovic displays normal human emotions during a match and shows frustration and anger, he gets attacked for it by both tennis fans and the media.

BUT- it makes him play better and for the record- Djokovic is my favorite player-I love Novak and have been a fan since about 2007. I'm just tired of the cutesy post match 'heart' thing- it was OK after winning the French, but he does it after 2nd round matches now….I'm SORRY I started this mess- PLEASE move on people!

You are right that his post-match celebration is corny. I just wanted to point out that Nick’s opinion of other players isn’t really credible considering the source.

Novak's issues come from never having been treated as fairly as Federer which is completely unfair because he's being punished for being more human, for example because he loses his temper.
To not like him because of a celebration is absurd, Tsonga has done the same annoying bouncing around for years but I don't dislike him for it. He's never been anything other than classy once the battle has come to an end and he's shaking hands.
Regards Federer, on the few occasions he's had a crowd against him he's also shown irritation, I believe he wants to be loved more than anyone!

Roger federer has certainly affected how a lot of players are treated in tennis. None more than Novak and people hate him for anything and everything. Which is why Nick is very clever at trying to publicly put Novak down, because the tennis community is so far up roger's @ss they will side with nick and support him for that. And any support nick gets he will take. I think he actually likes experimenting around to see how dumb some fans will be with this.

That's not why people don't like him. People can lose their tempers on the court and smash rackets galore and no one cares. It is his superiority complex and the way the media covers him like he isn't supposed to lose plus alllll of those 'it's too hot to play' and 'i can't eat gluten' crap from him. Why pander to have people like you? Either they do or they don't and playing as if you're so weak and tired and yet still winning is not professional or classy. He will never be Fed or Rafa because neither of them play for the crowd's adoration but they play to win. Also, neither of them is a full on jackass.

How do you know Djokovic is a full on jackass? Have you met him? Because he has never show himself to be. He is always extremely gracious in defeat and even applauds his opponents when they hit incredible shots. Meanwhile, Kyrgios has definitely shown himself to be a jackass on multiple occasions, including throwing a teenage girl under the bus during a match by saying that his friend had banged her before Wawrinka. Talk about classless. And in the same interview where he went off about Djokovic, Nadal, Verdasco, etc., he said he didn’t think he went over the line when he mentioned that personal info about Donna Vekic.
