He's speaking from an American perspective. No shit Taylor. Hardly a groundbreaking take tbh. If what he said was true. It would have already happened. Period.
Agreed. But sadly many of the people here are bitter queens who project their self-hatred out on these forums.Oh come on. It's great that Taylor has said something like that. Let's not always find the negative in everything.
He looks way better in the bath to me than Stefano or Holger. He is definitely loving it.More borna

If being real is negative. Then that's preferable imho. You don't have to like it but that's not "being negative". The user asked people for their opinions. I didn't attack him or anything. Jesus Lol. Nobody can speak their minds without walking on eggshells now I guess.Oh come on. It's great that Taylor has said something like that. Let's not always find the negative in everything.

Careful bud. Acknowledging this reality means you're actually being negative and exposing your own self hatred apparently.Even in America there would be some shade throwing and taunting. But these players only really think about things from their perspective. It’s a way more complicated topic than many of these guys understand or are willing to be honest about. You of course have more overt and dangerous homophobia in other countries, and that means something considering how international of a sport tennis is and how much they have to travel around the world year-round. Also, a male player, being unabashedly out would mean receiving a lot of attention, and they would be branded as a “queer mascot”, which is something a lot of players (even ones comfortable with their queerness) don’t want to deal with. While many male players who aren’t truly homosexual but have dimensions, fluidity, homo-leanings, non hetero partnership, are somewhere in the gender, sexual, affection, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum, etc.- they don’t feel being publicly out is worth it, especially at a young age and because they don’t feel they’re “gay”. Then of course, there’s basic internalized phobias, gay resentments, mental health struggles, masculine insecurities, the fragility of the male ego.
It’s a way more complicated topic than the tennis media or the players are willing to invest in. So, I honestly wish they’d stop asking these players about it until there’s an unabashedly out player on tour or until someone is fully willing to “go there” as far as the nuances of the topic.
I’d like to find out by climbing into his shorts
